21 in. 58-Volt Lithium-ion Walk-Behind Brushless Cordless Mower $299 [homedepot.com]

120 MPH 450 CFM 58-Volt Lithium-Ion Brushless Cordless Blower with 2-Batteries $199 [homedepot.com]

Echo has a 5 year consumer warranty. With many of my 4-25 year old chain saws I have never had to use it. Hope I am one of the many.

Hope this helps.

Wow, $199,299.00? That must be a fancy mower.

I have Echo's string trimmer and has lasted 15 years. Still going strong! Can't speak of their cordless machines though.

This is tempting, but I'm worried about pushing it on st. augustine grass. I have been looking for a self propelled gas mower but they are usually more expensive than this.

For one day only on 8/25/2016, get the ECHO 21" Brushless Lawn Mower for only $299. That's $100 off the normal retail price. http://www.homedepot.com/p/ECHO-2.../205566037

Curious is your trimmer a straight shaft or curved? My straight shaft is over 25 years and has the original points ( no solid state). Hope you get another 10 years (or more).

The Stihl RMA 410C is a better battery powered mower and only a bit more money

Seriously thinking about this. Any reason why not to get it? My yard is only .30 acres - regular grass. Should work fine, right?

I don't know if I would ever buy something with the letters RMA built into the nameLMAO

At the moment, yes. It has a 5-year warranty, so you shouldn't have to worry about the battery until 2021 at the earliest, at which point you could probably just open it up and put in some replacement lithium cells if you have a soldering iron.

I would imagine the cells would be cheaper in five years.

I just did something similar with my B&D old-school lead acid battery. Replacement battery packs are stupidly expensive, but its just six screws to open the plastic case, and then you don't even have to solder anything, you just slap in three replacement lead acid batteries from ebay for $45, and you're good to go for another 7 years.

yep, only down fall is that it's not self propelled but that's usually not a big deal since the battery mowers tend to be light weight compared to gas models.

Can you explain how it's better?

The largest Stihl battery is 36v, 6.3Ah, vs the ECHO's 58v, 4.0Ah.

Stihl cutting width is 16.1" vs the ECHO's 21"

The Stihl's runtime will last longer, but it won't have as much oomph, I believe. That doesn't bode well for my St. Augustine grass.
