can you put these on a dimmer? 264 total watts of incadescent output is a little crazy for my patio.

"Shine Hai"? LOL OK... Who the f*ck is "Shine Hai"?? A quick Google search reveals... NOTHING. "stands behind all of our products 100%"? They don't even have a web presence. No contact info. Interesting.

"Sample received for testing and review."

"After taking this set of light string for a test,I honestly have no reason not to give them the five star rating that they deserve!"

"I did receive this at a promo discount to test and share my honest and fair opinion. All opinions are my own whether positive or negative and are not influenced by this promotion. I was not paid to write this review. Other experiences may vary."

4x 5-star reviews on Amazon. "honest and fair opinion" LOL. Sure. I can't wait to write my honest and fair review of the Porsche 911 Turbo when they decide to send me one. I will be 100% unbiased. My free sample will have zero influence on my review. I am a robot with no feelings, I have complete objectivity.

Huh?

For those with Costco memberships they sell something similar made by Feit for $50. 48 foot 24 socket weather proof string lights. I've been looking to get a set for my patio.

I bought a different brand at Target that needed two 10 lamp end to end units to wrap around a pergola. The light levels are rather low, not bright enough to read a newspaper, or even to light up the table very well. People love them but I'm inclined to ramp up to 25W bulbs because these are the standard size Edison base and are dimmable. With the 11W bulbs enclosed I've found very little reason to dim them. Our lights are strung about 8 ft. off the ground.

You can also regularly find them on sale for $39.99. I bought it from Costco and they work great!

I don't know about these in particular, but I put the ones I bought at Costco on a dimmer and I've had no issues. I've got 4 strings daisy chained together.

The ones from Costco are $50 and come w/ 12 spare bulbs. They also come w/ a white cable/wire.

Costco also has a changing color set for $70:

This isn't a great deal, $1 a foot is fairly easy to find even for the commercial grade.

You're better off with Christmas lights, as those are known for attracting kids and spirits alike more easily C9 is the size you want for medium distances:

Be sure to check the internal fusing, typically found on the male plug, before increasing bulb wattage.

Increasing bulb wattage will draw more current and, depending on the fuse size, it may blow.
