These don't seem to be available in all Walmart stores, but a few nearby had them on clearance for $45.

Thanks, OP, I've been wanting one of these for some time now. Unfortunately, not a single store near me has any in stock, according to brickseek. :'(

It might be worth checking if it's not too inconvenient. I've found WalMart's inventory information to be wrong as often as it is right.

Great price. I got mine from Amazom back when it was 69$. But you can't pay me to step foot inside Walmark.

lol... yea some of them are pretty grungy and you often see some strange clientele in any given Walmart.

if the one I saw it at for $20 were any closer, i'd be willing to go in. as it is though, it's nearly an hour away - that's definitely not close enough to warrant any desire for me to go. i was eyeing this grill back when it was on amazon for much lower than it is now. i could never bring myself to pull the trigger though...

None in stock in my area. That's a shame. I'd love having this little Habachi style grill in my collection.

what is the benefit of this compared to other charcoal grills (e.g. Weber ones)?

Weird. BrickSeek is saying none is available in my area, but Walmart.com says I can pick up today at a couple Walmarts around the city for $86.

I have one of these.
Weber grills work fine. So does the Lodge.
I prefer to grill on an open surface with hardwood charcoal. I have worked in catering and as a chef, and I still prefer an open charcoal grill. None of that work was with charcoal.
I like the process. You fill a charcoal tube with coals, light some paper bags up underneath, and wait till there is fire above the coals. Takes maybe 10min. Then you drop them into the grill, spread them out so they are burning evenly, and throw the grate on. Let it sit 10min again. Then close the air off, and give it maybe 5 more. Then you can cook on a nice evenly temperatured surface. You can cook for two people in one swing, meat and sides. Or you can set it in the middle of the table, get a few dozen people around it, and keep adding coals as you cook for the lot of them.
Again, nothing you can't do with a weber.
But my Webers have only lasted a few years tops. My Lodge has lasted two so far without anything close to a hole in it. The real key is keeping the surface seasoned. The lodge will last as long as you keep it from rusting. Buy some grapeseed oil, and rub it down regularly.
