It's at the same price at Amazon (when they have stock), and with Amazon Prime Store card you get the same 5% off. The best deal, though, is if you have Discover IT card that doubles its 5% to 10% off at Amazon, making the latter better deal than Target.

I didn't read too much about it, but that's not two different credit cards?

Jeez Legos are expensive these days, though I bet the Honda version gets better mileage and is less than half the price. Still though I can't see a reason to spend this much on Legos for this price you can build/buy a small rc car.

got my boy an entry level hobby rc car for ~$200. the dream gift from my childhood. saw very little interest. Legos he will play with and any cheap junk plastic grandma buys him for Christmas. I don't know what to think of it; doesn't make much sense to me.

That IT Discover card bonus 5% for July-September and is maxed out at $1500 total spent.

I can understand playing with Legos I did when I was a kid though they were definitely not this expensive. Still though more my point was building the rc car with your kid/kids or buying a similar but much cheaper type of toy car. You used to be able to build smaller rc type cars for around $100-150 and you could add different designs or make it look real or whatever. A Lego car this expensive seems crazy even if it was a Lego rc car still seems expensive though at least it would be a more realistic toy car.
