BestBuy has a refurbished Moto X Pure 64GB Android smartphone for $279.99. Pretty decent price, considering the recent deals $250 for 32GB new, and $400 for 64GB bundle.

Is this the newest gen? I'm guessing it's not.

There's only one generation of X Pure.

It works on all networks - AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, and Verizon. 4G LTE on all.

multiple reports say that it works on Verizon, but at slow data speeds and the 4G band does not connect.

Not sure where you saw that. Not to my knowledge. You might be thinking of a different phone.

I had a new one and returned it. The build quality is suspect and the battery is horrible making it unusable for me. The screen gets lost in the sunlight as well. The front firing speakers are great though and is the feel in the hand.

I agree with the battery. I had it for one year then the battery drained pretty fast. Too bad it's not removeable, otherwise it would have been good to keep. Metal sides also ding easily imo
