I've got my son's 14th birthday on Sunday, and lots o' birthday activities this weekend.

Galactic Civilizations III is on sale this weekend, so I'll try to talk myself into buying it again.

I rolled up a new Crusader on Diablo 3, so I'm hoping to spend some quality time gearing her up.

Happy Friday all around!

No one cares that you saved an extra nickel on this same deal back in 2007. If it doesn't apply to the current deal, please keep it to yourself. Tumbleweed

I assume a bow tie will be one of the gifts...

The local AAA team is into the end of their season so they have a big discount on tickets to get people into the games. $5 tickets, so I am going to 3 of their next 5 games, haha.

That, and then some projects around the house. Haven't done a thing all summer because the weather has not been kind when he have actually been home, so I'll get to some of that.

And Forza.

If possible, I would like to play some DS3 or Salt and Sanctuary. More than likely there will be more work necessary for the upcoming kid. Really getting tired of painting and moving things.

My house is pretty much unrecognizable from what it started as at the beginning of the year.

80 mile bike ride tomorrow. A course rehearsal for the 100 mile coming up in 3 weekends. Gonna be bawls a$$ hot outside, too.

I did download AND install Rise of the Tomb Raider the other day so I might check that out.

I also owe my daughter a trip to Kings Dominion water park since this is the next to last weekend before the shut it down. Might do that on Sunday...

You should give it a go. Some of the mechanics are a bit annoying, but it is a solid game. Appeals to me more than Souls 3, but I may just be getting burned out on that series finally.

It seems like too many parts of this new Souls game exist just to be annoying rather than have any purpose. The mimic boxes are wasted since every single chest in the game is a mimic. Many areas are difficult just due to walls of enemies rather than any decent design. I seem to get constantly lost for some reason. The level design is just not as solid this time around. Every area now has ranged mobs that harass from out of reach while you're are in melee with another pile of enemies.

Too many times I ended up just sprinting past everything rather than even dealing with enemies.
