I HIGHLY recommend this book and following series to anyone that enjoys Fantasy:
The Crown Tower: The Riyria Chronicles, Book 1 [audible.com]
Fantastic series imo

A lot of good books in this sales. I'm planning to get these:
  • Fight Club by Chuck Palahniuk
  • Childhood's End By Arthur C. Clarke
  • The Android's Dream By John Scalzi
  • The Inexplicable Universe: Unsolved Mysteries By The Great Courses (Neil deGrasse Tyson)
  • The Currents of Space By Isaac Asimov
Some that I already have:
  • A Tale of Two Cities By Charles Dickens
  • The Wonderful Wizard of Oz by: L. Frank Baum
  • Breakfast at Tiffany's By Truman Capote
  • V for Vendetta By Alan Moore
  • The Phantom of the Opera By Gaston Leroux (this one should be free anyway if you got the free Kindle version first)
  • The Invisible Man By H. G. Wells
  • Thirteen: The Apollo Flight That Failed By Henry Cooper

I listened to it a while back. It was actually pretty good! The book is a lot darker than the movie and Hall's somewhat darker tone (or was it my imagination?) fit that very well. Although I was always waiting for that moment when Dexter meet (work on?) Holiday....

Good Sale! I have some unused coupon balance to use up and I'm getting:

* Man's Search for Meaning By Viktor E. Frankl
* Childhood's End By Arthur C. Clarke
* The Android's Dream By John Scalzi
* The Handmaid's Tale By Margaret Atwood

All for $14 in credit. Not too shabby!

Thanks, OP! Note that you do NOT have to be an active member to get these prices. I cancelled a few weeks ago and was able to pick up The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian by Sherman Alexie for $1.95 and The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky for $2.95.

I listened to that one a couple of years ago. Good book and Wil Wheaton was a great narrator, but Scalzi drives me crazy with gratuitous use of the word "said". Almost every single line of dialogue is followed by "<character name or pronoun> said". I listened to Fuzzy Logic too and discovered that this trend isn't limited to a single book. Maybe it's just a pet peeve and won't bother anyone else, but I can't bring myself to pick up another one of his books.

I found it a little bit irritating in Lock In at first as well (as this is one of those things writing teacher will tell you to avoid). But Wil Wheaton handled it very well by speaking it fast and in a lower voice then the dialogue, so after a while I got used to it and it wasn't too annoying.
