See this on verizonwirelss official website. No one has posted yet. Must call or visit a store.
Verizon Prepaid [verizonwireless.com]

Promotion detail:
Get $100 off select 4G LTE devices
when you switch to Verizon Prepaid.
Call 1.800.414.3758 or
Find your closest Verizon store
$45 or $60 monthly smartphone plan required.

If you are thinking to choose Verizon Prepaid, this is a good promotion.
I bought a Blackberry Priv for $308 ($408 - $100).

No pull on credit report.

Blackberry priv is not on the prepaid phone list. Instead it is on the postpaid phone list. I called 1.800.414.3758 and bought Blackberry Priv $100 off without any problem or not even mentioning Blackberry Priv is a postpaid phone. And more, this $100 off promotion was applied automatically when the port-in information was put in. There was NO code required for the CSR to input.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

I disagree with your first claim "dismal phone selection". Basically you can buy any postpaid verizon phone with this promotion and use it on prepaid service.

The second claim "overpriced". I may argue that $308 for a Blackberry Priv is not a bad deal considering the ATT version for $299 was front page deal. Verizon Priv = ATT Priv + wireless charge + more bands.

I don't think it works on the Note7.

It should. Give them a call or visit a store.

I doubt it. None of the postpaid codes do so I think it is unlikely that the prepaid codes do.

Why would you say that without a try? You do not need to buy a phone. Just calling them to check can give you an answer whether this $100 off promotion can be applied to postpaid phones.

Check this prepaid phone list: https://www.verizonwireless.com/p...one-plans/

I don't understand. Are you saying the Verizon Priv has wireless charging and more bands than the AT&T Priv?

yes. Verizon Priv has wireless charging out of box.

I may be wrong about Verizon Priv has more frequency bands than ATT

The AT&T Priv also has wireless charging out of box, and you are wrong about bands: the AT&T Priv has more. It's the same model as the factory unlocked model, just locked to AT&T.

There is one model that has a lot more bands. That one is sold in Asia and...Canada, which doesn't make sense to me. But I digress. I'd snatch that one up for $300 in a heartbeat though.

Wow, the Priv gets trashed in this review: http://arstechnica.com/gadgets/20...t-compete/

Not sure what it has to do with my search for a SD on the mythical global model, but that review is outdated. Marshmallow has come to all Privs (except Verizon's--how's that for topical? Big Grin) Even the fire sale AT&T Privs have it now. Camera could have been improved in subsequent OS releases. And if the Priv has a "bad keyboard," I'd like to know which Android phone has a good physical one...

It's relevant since you are talking about a somwwhat expensive phone that got mediocre reviews. Software does little to nothing about improving camera images as that's more of a result of good glass and good sensor combo. It seems to me that the Priv has way too many negatives, especially at it's price point.

I wasn't the first one to bring up the Priv, but OK. Here's a detailed review from a camera site that rates it quite decently: http://www.dxomark.com/Mobiles/Bl...Privileged

If you find a phone with an exceptional camera at $300, by all means, buy it. Perhaps it wasn't clear, but my main search criteria was global compatibility.
