Need NFL DirectTV Sunday Ticket for non-DTV customer

ned4spd8874 1,032 199 August 26, 2016 at 09:19 AM
I'm still trying to figure out how to watch my home team while living in a different state. I've been streaming it the last couple years, but the quality and reliability sucks. I would be more than happy to pay to watch the games, but the only option is to be a DTV customer and pay for the Sunday Ticket upgrade. Well that's not going to happen, so I need another option. Please help!

Or if you still have family/friends back there a Slingbox can work quite well.

Thanks, but the Slingbox really won't work. And I've tried contacting DTV and all I'm getting is a runaround. Spent way too much time on the phone, being transferred, given different phone numbers to call, etc. And the best I got was to either provide my lease where it shows that I can't have a dish installed (which I don't have) or to order DTV and when the tech comes out tell him that I can't have it installed and then go back to the website and it should give me the option to order it online. The second option seems best, but I'm not comfortable going through all the sign up process and then having to cancel. I don't trust them not to charge me for something I don't have or want.

So I guess "f" dtv and "f" the nfl. On to online streaming again for me!

Just use a family member that is still in colleges info. I used my younger brother and have Sunday Ticket Max for $99. There's a whole thread on it (2 years running) in Hot Deals.

Yeah, not all of us have a family member in college. Why would I be posting here if I haven't looked into and exhausteded every other option out there?! I'm frustrated with this whole mess and am out of ideas.

Any REAL answers out there?

If you don't absolutely have to watch the game in real time, NFL Gamepass is legit. I've used it for a number of years and they've improved it significantly. The quality is excellent, they've started posting the games sooner after they are finished, and they offer the regular game and the abridged form of the game, essentially skipping most of the time between snaps. In the abridged format, most games end up being around 30 minutes, which I love since I'll watch 4-6 games in the time it takes to watch 1 normal game.

For some reason they still take nearly a whole day to post the Monday night game, but that's one of the only complaints I still have.

Sorry, but no. I'm too much of a fan, need to see it live.

IIRC there are sites where you can pay people to access their Slingbox. They basically buy a bunch of slingboxes and plug them all in and then let people stream from them. A lot of time they even have Showtime/HBO, etc.. It's not necessarily cheap but it's the last option.

It's either something that has been proposed or you are SOL.

Wow. How about "thanks for the suggestion but". How would one know you don't have that as an option if I hadn't asked or known whether you've seen the thread? This is why ppl don't stop to help out most of the time. I'll be enjoying Sunday Ticket. Good luck.

Calm down, how are we to know what you have already looked into? Personally you couldn't pay me to watch it, I can't stand the game, it's like watching paint dry. I had a suggestion but since you probably already looked into it, I won't waste your time. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)
