How does this compare to the XPS 15 or the Zenbook Pro UX501?

The weight is perfectly fine for a 15.6" Laptop. Most of the 15.6" laptops weight over 5lbs.

How would this compare to the HP 15t that was on here last week with i7-6700HQ and gtx650M graphics? I have an older Probook and love its versatility with presentations because of the VGA output, but the Pavillion 15t for $805 with 8 gb ram and 256 ssd looked too good to pass up, however lacking the VGA port kinda has me reconsidering having ran into older projectors more often than not.

I hate the HP hard drive encryption program that makes the boot up time of HP pro books longer than it has to be. I don't know if this is all models but it was for mine when I purchased on ebay and I had to return it because I was super frustrated.

15t is a Multimedia Centric laptop and this one is a Business laptop. So they cannot be compared directly. It entirely depends upon your need. Normally ProBook and Elitebook offers better build quality, security features, longer battery life, docking connectors etc.

So think for what purpose you want to buy the Laptop in the first place
