Not sure if anyone has posted this?

Decent for those looking to build home servers. First post, be gentle.

Let me know what else I can do to improve post if needed / if not a repost (I searched and found nothing)

Dell Small Business [dell.com] has the Dell PowerEdge T20 Intel Xeon E3-1225 v3 Quad-Core Tower Barebone Server for $279.00 w/ Free Shipping

Coupon Code: "279T20"

Tax in most states.

Possibly Targeted Promo:
If you have not yet taken advantage of the AMEX offer, you can get an additional $50 back in statement credit when spending $299 or more by 9/12/16, making this approx $250 or less (tax included) once the dust settles.

Details here

Thanks to zjs2k for the tip.

This deal has been front page several times in the past. I'd expect this to hit front page as well.

And, don't forget Amex's "Spend $299, get $50 back" offer. Ordered one. It will be $250 after tax, if you have the Amex offer, that is.

How noisy is this compared to a TS140 or a TS440 from Lenovo?

is this a targeted promotion? Or would any Amex be eligible? Is $299 the only requirement, or does it exclude tax (which would exclude this deal)?

Not sure if the amex offer is targeted or not. But it was posted here a few weeks back. There is no mention of tax in the terms. And I assume Amex has no (easy) way to figure out exact amount of tax, or shipping etc.

Can confirm, the T20 is nearly silent. My Thinkpad W541 is louder.

Great box, add 32 Gigs of RAM and you are good to go for a great home ESXi host.
