Thread Details

Just saw this deal [ebay.com] popped up again on eBay. Very tempting for this factory unlocked phone.

They have only Gold and Rose Gold colors left.

Tempting, but will wait for the nexus that will be updated for at least 2 years.
This brick will be outdated without security updates before it arrives at my house.

Samsung has actually been one of the best manufacturers when it comes to timely security updates. Will it get updates as long as the Nexus line? No. But compared too all others its pretty good.

Only Black and Gold colors left. Mine (Gold color) just arrived today. Everything looks good so far.

What network do you use? I've heard people say you don't get the same data coverage as a normal US phone. Even though it uses the same bands.

I have AT&T. Only see improvement on coverage since my last phone was a Sony Xperia Z Ultra, which was a factory unlocked device as well.

I have AT&T family plan, we have 4 lines because the 4th line is free, but only have 3 family members so I have a 4th SIM just sitting. I have been thinking about using it to seperate work and leisure just because I can, but I have heard these are passive Dual Sim which if I understand correctly means I have to choose at boot which SIM I am using? Is that correct, so I cant receive calls and texts from both at once?

No, you can choose which one you use when you are going to use it.
