Deal Details

Last Edited by Naoautorizada August 27, 2016 at 12:59 AM
"Flash" sale - begins tonight Friday 8/26/2016 at 6:00PM PST (9PM EST) and runs until "sold out".
This is a non-ringback plan. (*see below)
Upgrades for existing planholders will be available immediately at the beginning of the 'flash" period.
For further details as they develop see https://social.ringplus.net/discu...-at-6-00pm

New Accounts

Ringplus is a BYOD plan provider. To open a new account with Ringplus you must either own or plan to own a phone that can be activated on the Sprint MNVO network. To open a new account with an existing phone, start here [ringplus.net] to check whether your phone is eligible for activation on Ringplus. If your phone is eligible you'll be taken from there to screens you can use to register in full.

If you don't have a device which is eligible for immediate activation you can register for the plan by using "placeholder" serial numbers provided here [e-junkie.com] and then (for $2 taken from your initial deposit with Ringplus) swap the number of your new phone for the number you were using as a "placeholder".

Upgrades

Existing account holders (including those with totally free accounts you can sign up for at any time) will also be able to replace their existing plan with this one by doing so during the flash period tonight. Flash upgrades are generally made available through RIngplus "classifieds" (https://social.ringplus.net/class.../items/all) and/or as an upgrade selection initiated at the upper right hand corner of the "dashboard" associated with the account. (If you don't see it in one area, try the other.)

Note that while upgrades "sell out" notoriously quickly (often within minutes), when offered simultaneously with new plans the offering can appear and disappear sporadically as the number made available is dynamically adjusted. In other words, just because you're not seeing it (or because someone on SD declares it to be OOS) doesn't mean that offering is necessarily expired.

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

*Ringback is the ad-injection that Ringplus substitutes for ring-tones as a(n intended) means to generate revenue to support their 'free' plans.
It is also considered responsible for adding latency (delay), which is why it is noted as absent from this and all plans having an explicit monthly fee.

Will they throttle after 5GB like other reseller of cell service like cricket straight talk etc? If not and you have strong sprint connect where you live and work this might be a great deal.

All Mad (PAID) Plans plans are routed directly over the Sprint Nationwide Network (i.e., not over RingPlus). I got all excited about this option when announced http://slickdeals.net/f/8925011-ringplus-mad-paid-plans-no-ads-7-14-1pm-pst-updated-ongoing-with-new-paid-plans-added?v=1&src=SiteSearch but it didn't go over well early on.

I don't have other carrier plans to compare to so I'll assume it's a good deal for now. Big Grin

because these new plans route directly through Sprint's network, they will have a price slightly higher compared to the regular and freemium plans offered by RingPlus. But if you don't want to encounter RingPlus Radio or any ads, this is the price you'll have to pay. RingPlus has named these new plans as "Mad Plans". And although they are priced higher than the plans offered originally by RingPlus, they are still competitive and could even be among the cheapest plans on the market running on Sprint's network http://www.prepaidphonenews.com/2...y-via.html

Your Verizon LG G3 won't pass the device checker.

Just want to say that I've been trying to get my number ported from Ultra to RingPlus for over 2 months. They started completely ignoring me about a month ago so I filed BBB and FCC complaints which Ultra responded to within a day, but has been ignored by R+.
Ultra has been very helpful throughout this whole process, even reactivating my number so that Ring+ can port it but I have heard nothing from them via my email contact, message board, or support ticket.
