Indiscriminately kills good and bad bacteria. Use with your own own risk tolerance.

The $7.86 is before tax. You're including tax right? .... though that does seem a little high with tax.

The link works fine to me so it must have something to do with your browser.

✓ Triclosan
This chemical is so commonly used in products that 75 percent of Americans have detectable triclosan levels in their bloodstream.27 Although a common ingredient in antibacterial soaps, cosmetic manufacturers use it to kill bacteria on the skin in products such as anti-acne creams, deodorants and antiperspirants.28
Animal studies have linked triclosan with unusual hormonal activity,29 and through transdermal absorption it can disrupt the bacterial growth in your gut.30 According to Patisaul:31 “There’s evidence from amphibians and fish … that triclosan impairs thyroid function, which is crucial for brain development.

Loved it as a kid, love it as an adult: Pepsodent is easily my favorite taste-wise.

I worry more about possible hormonal effect than the anti-bacterial effect. And it is a common pesticide ingredient so why by your apple organic / wash your apple while putting this stuff on your teeth?

Spit, don't swallow toothpaste. And if you're worried about 90 seconds of exposure that you rinse and expectorate, then I hope you never consume surcralose or other carinogenic sweeteners, artificial colors or dyes, caramel coloring (yes, it is toxic despite the warm and fuzzy name), hydrogenated oils, etc....
