Most reviews on Amazon are good, but a couple had QC issues.

Doesn't seem to have VESA mounts (not that the base can probably be removed without taking the whole monitor completely apart).

VESA Mounts, the new Dealbreaker.

I received mine a week ago when it was 204 after 15 dollar visa checkout discount. one word. amazing. very little backlight bleed. Great monitor for the price.

Cool, glad to hear that. The pictures do not show the holes on the back plate of the monitor.

I don't suppose you can tell how easy the base (the neck) might be to remove?

This is the same monitor as the QNIX QX2710 LED Evolution II Multi TRUE10 with cutouts in the base to make it more "stylish" (possibly at the expense of stability in an already rickety base design). So I believe this is actually an AH-VA panel instead of IPS, but Pixio doesn't give details on which "IPS" panel it actually uses (S-IPS, AH-IPS, PLS, AH-VA)

The neck is kind of a pain to remove as you have to open up the monitor to get the screws holding it. Which means popping a bunch of clips on the plastic bezel hoping you don't damage the bezel in the process. And making sure you don't mess with any of the thin connecting wires, or that the panel doesn't shift a bit when you put it back together (happened to me and I had to take it off the wall mount and reopen it to reseat it...pain in the butt).

The QNIX equivalent has been on eBay for a while for $214.99 shipping from Korea. Could've saved myself $15 getting this instead, and maybe easier to return if there's a problem. But even though shipping is in US, probably slower compared to express from Korea, lol.

From the specs, it has the M270DAN01.0 panel type listed. It seems to be an AH-VA panel from what I can find. http://www.panelook.com/M270DAN01...19766.html

Yeah it was only good through August. Sorry that I didn't mention that. It's still $220 on Amazon and Newegg though. I believe today is the last day for that price.
