Amazon Lightning Deal - YutaoZ Battery Base Specially for the Echo - Make Your Echo Portable (Black) - $33.99 [amazon.com] Limited time deal, regularly $48.99.
  • This Charging Cradle is built in poly lithium battery, and matches snugly with the Amazon Echo, and it powers your Alexa directly, which lasts for about 3-4 hours if playing in middle volume, with the stand-by time of about 6-10 hours. If you connect the 5V Input to the cradle, it will be always ready
  • You can use a universal 5V USB charger to re-charge the cradle.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

With all the compensated shill reviews, I'd be careful with this one, guys. My personal policy is to mark all compensated reviews as Not Helpful, and to NEVER purchase a product that uses such tactics.

With easy returns on Amazon not really a big deal to me. Agree that the compensated reviews have really taken off recently, but doesn't mean you have to totally discount them. I've received free and or discounted items for review, I wrote an honest review, not always 5 stars. Nothing requires that I leave a 5 star review.

Except for them to continue to simply send more free products for throw away 5 star reviews.

Not sure of all sites, but that's not how it works on sites I'm aware of. Again, Amazon makes returns easy so if not what you expect return the item. Returns count against a seller's rating, if they have many returns they won't be on Amazon long.

Yeah, honestly there is a reason it's so discounted. 4 stars on Amazon doesn't mean 4 stars. Pretty much every product gets a little bump...some a big bump in score. I'd rather hold off till they lock down the technology. I hate the effort returning stuff even if Amazon makes it easy-life is busy enough...

interesting ... but for those that have a bunch of 18650 lithium batteries, wouldn't it make sense to make your own "battery pack" with 4 wired in series? probably the only issue might be getting the correct sized plug, but i can't imagine that that would be difficult at all
