the site says 6.75 hr battery life. But maybe in reality it doesn't actually preform at that level?

Looks like a good notebook but at 280 lbs I'll need a truck to lug it around Smilie

It was a typo, fixed it anyway. All the XPS 12 suffers from poor battery. However, this model has slightly better battery life than the 4K version due to having lower resolution display.

I have a xps 12 without the 4k screen. I can probably get 6+ hours out of it.just be sure to put it into sleep before going away from it.

I also recommend the Dell slim portfolio keyboard since you can adjust the screen angle unlike the standard keyboard.

lol, research the cpu benchmarks and decide for yourself if the chip manufacturers are ramping up a profit-driven swerve to inferior performance, and keeping the general public steeped in ignorance.

hint: they make more, you get less, Crunch.

This is not really a laptop, more like a tablet with a keyboard. All the important bits are in the screen, not the keyboard, so it's top heavy - probably won't sit well on your lap without being propped up by something.
