makes sense, being in this thread. I do know from time to time notes are made in here about things at other stores. My commissary rarely has p&g anything--no coupon inserts, no tearpads.
This is Ft. Leavenworth, KS. I am shocked when there are any there at all..... Thanks every day to all of you who help me spend so little!

Hey All!! I'm very excited to have JUST discovered this thread! Thank you christel29 for the link! I spend all my time in the printables thread but hope to be able to make a few contributions here as well! I'll be going back through the posts to study...Commissary on Thursday!
A BIG "You're Awesome" to OP for starting this thread! Distance is not for the fearful, it is for the bold. It's for those who are willing to spend a lot of time alone in exchange for a little time with the one they love. It's for those knowing a good thing when they see it, even if they don't see it nearly enough! You never know how strong you are, until being strong is the only choice you have. True love is forever, even if it is in military time. |

!!!And mahalo nui loa to Christel for sending us a new victim, er I mean poster. ![]() I wish I could claim original ownership but I inherited it from a very sweet lady. ![]() This year is shaping up yo be a very busy one for our family. Back to the mainland for May. Then back to our grass shack for June. Then company for the first part of July. Huh, Alfer? Then a little lull until December. Which may mean another trip to the mainland. My firstborn is trying to graduate then. So very excited about that.

I sympathize. ![]() My oldest graduates next month and we have 25 people coming to town so we're landscaping the yard, painting rooms, re-grouting tile, car shopping for oldest child, filling out apps for more scholarship money, it's track season, prom is this weekend, AND I just planted my vegetable garden. I'm also doing all the research for my mom and my in-laws that both want new cars before May. And fighting local water rate increases. And trying to finish our taxes (again), in a way that we can lower the $4,000 we owe, before the 17th. I ...AM ... EXHAUSTED!!!!!! In the last 4 weeks, I have been in Walgreens 3 times and only acquired ONE $2 RR. And yesterday I had $8 in RA Up's rewards expire ... because I was just too damned tired to go use them. ![]() I'll be so glad when I'm dead. I can use the sleep.

Add me to the exhausted list. I read some of the threads - but then it becomes tiring because you have to click on the link - which means you have to move your finger....
Then I tried shopping at KMART, which is not for the faint at heart.... Had some big drama when one of my coupons wouldn't work - Renuzit B2G1 Newspaper Insert coupon - so the NEXT time I went to KMART they singled me out to approve my coupons because "We have had PROBLEMS with YOUR coupons..." I was only using 2 coupons (sad isn't it?) - and dang it if the guy didn't THROW my Ritz Printable on the counter and tell me he didn't have to take it because he had a book of 23 pages of BOGUS coupons. ![]() Talked to the manager who just kept telling me "Well, you know... we have had trouble with YOUR coupons..." ![]() I haven't even been to the commissary yet this month. Counting the days until this semester is over... Missing my Dad! ![]() |

I have been drained the last two weeks and not sure what is wrong with me...I am at work and I could totally fall asleep at my desk. ![]() ![]() ![]()
![]() When I was using my Allegra coupon this weekend the checker asked where I got it from...uh the newspaper! I clipped it a little large so I think that was part of the issue, but I did that so I wouldn't lose it since it expired so quickly. |

On a deal related note last time I was at the commissary I saw these [amazon.com] clean & clear morning burst ... pads for $4.31 and there was a peelie for $3.00 on it making it $1.31! I love these and I usually pay a lot more for them but now I am fully stocked for some time! I bought 6-7 boxes. Last edited by sk8er; 04-10-2012 at 05:06 PM.. |

I so sympathize. I feel like a novice juggler that just knows he has too many balls in the air. It's all going to come crashing, I just hope I don't smash my toes too bad when it happens.

!! If you're that wild marine lover, QUIT CHANGING YOUR USERNAME! ![]() ![]() AND NOW a word from our sponsors.....(Posted on the DECA FB page today.) NEWS YOU CAN USE: FORT LEE, Va. – Changes are on the way in how commissaries handle coupons and product returns without receipts, among other things, as the Defense Commissary Agency enacts customer service policy changes to protect the commissary benefit. “The average coupon user might not notice the policy changes because they are aimed at preventing possible misuse of the commissary benefit – primarily using coupons to get large amounts of cash back,” said Joseph H. Jeu, DeCA director and CEO. Commissary shoppers are big users of coupons, as evidenced by DeCA’s consistent ranking among the top 10 grocery retailers in coupon redemptions over the past several years. Commissaries welcome coupon usage; and to acquaint customers with the changes in the coupon acceptance policy, it has been posted DeCA's Facebook Notes page. Key changes, which go into effect May 1, include: • Gift cards will be issued to a customer, in conjunction with cash, whenever a transaction total reflects $25 or more is owed to the customer due to coupon “overages” (when the face value of the coupon exceeds the selling price of the item purchased and the transaction results in a negative balance) • Gift cards will be issued to customers, in conjunction with cash, for refunds of $25 or more when a receipt is presented showing the merchandise was originally purchased with gift cards • Gift cards will be issued to customers, in conjunction with cash, for refunds of $25 or more when a receipt is not presented • Clarification for instances of suspected privilege abuse • Update to the coupon acceptance policy that clarifies dot-scan barcode requirements and pin requirements for unique numbering, that photocopies and counterfeit coupons are not accepted, and that coupons must be printed in English The changes harness the scope of the new commissary gift card, which has been in use since last summer. Available only in denominations of $25 and $50, issuing gift cards as an alternative to paying out large sums of cash brings DeCA in line with other retailers’ practices and ensures DeCA’s cash flow is not adversely impacted. Amounts under $25 will be in cash. “Commissaries are providers of a benefit that sell groceries at cost, and using the gift cards to cover certain refunds and coupon ‘overages’ discourages practices contrary to DeCA’s mission,” Jeu noted. “We value coupon usage because it helps our customers boost their savings,” Jeu said. “These changes are in the best interest of all concerned to help ensure that coupons continue to be a great source of savings for our customers.” |
