** We would like to welcome HawiianDawn as the new OP **.

Please thank
thelahaiesfamil for all of her hard work in this thread.**

Being a military spouse has its many challenges. One of the challenges is trying to feed your family on a limited income. I thought it would be helpful to the many of us SD'rs out there that are military or military spouses to have an official Deca/ Commissary thread. There are so many great deals and YMMV by store, but at least here you may be able to look for a deal that you might not have known about before. I HTH someone save a little for thier family!! Enjoy! Smilie

IMPORTANT COUPONING INFO:
Subject = ScotchBrite Coupon

Message
Hi.
I accessed your website and found a $1 off any one product coupon that
expires June 30, 2010. I tried to use the coupon today and was told the coupon is
"fraudulent." However, I found it on your website.
Are you not honoring the coupon you posted?
It certainly is embarrassing to have someone tell me the coupon I got from
a manufacturer's website is fraudulent.
Thanks,
XXXX XXXX

Dear xxxx,

Thank you for contacting 3M regarding our Scotch-Brite(TM) internet printed
coupons.

It is up to the retailers as to which coupons they will accept. This is
still an active coupon. We suggest you try another retailer.

If we can be of further assistance, please feel free to contact us.

Best Regards,

Patron Comments: I was told I could not use my Scotch-Brite coupons at the
XXXX AFB commissary because the coupons are fraudulent. The coupons were
obtained from: http://www.3m.com/us/home_leisure...nailsaver/
The current coupon is:
http://www.3m.com/us/home_leisure...coupon.pdf The
coupon available when I printed my coupons was the same coupon, except it
was for $1 off one product. Can you tell me what is fraudulent about these
coupons? Is 3m not honoring them? It certainly is embarrassing to be accused
of trying to use fraudulent coupons when I got the coupons from the
manufacturer's website. Thank you

Dear Ms. XXX

Thank you for accessing the Defense Commissary Agency's web site with your
concern. I apologize for any inconvenience you experienced at the XXX
Commissary.

I cannot tell you why the commissary did not accept your coupon; when a
commissary informs you a coupon is counterfeit, we expect them to be able to
show you the notice. I researched the counterfeit coupon alerts we have
provided to the commissaries and did not find one for Scotch-Brite brand
products.

I am copying Ms. xxxx, Scott Store Director, on this e-mail. I
suggest you contact her at xxx-xxx-xxxx to set up an appointment to meet
with her on your next visit to discuss the specifics of your coupon and the
items presented for purchase.

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to address this issue. I encourage
you to continue to take advantage of your commissary benefit and the 30
percent plus overall savings. If you need assistance in the future, please
do not hesitate to contact Ms. xxxx or any member of her management
staff.

Sincerely,

xxxxxxxxx

Walgreens RR CAN be used at the Commissary, see below:

Ms. Lxxxxx,

I don't see anything in the fine print limiting redemption to Walgreen's,
although naturally they want you to use it there since the promotional money
is being provided for their company! So, yes, the commissary can accept
this.

CHips Ahoy Cookies are $2... If you still have your $1/1 IP from last month, this would work well!

McCormick Gourmet Spices, many priced $1.85... awesome if you were able to print the $1.50/1 RP, nla

Suave Shampoo/Conditioner $.99... only $.25 after $1.50/2 from last months Unilever Qs

Sorry to be reporting deals with coupons that are NLA Embarrassment I just happened to match all my soon to expire Qs.

~I finally found the Biscoff Cookies on a display in the frozen foods section for $2.50

MsGal-sorry you can't drink your favorite coffee anymore hug

Went by the commissary at lunch and actually found P&G inserts! Made up for getting shorted one when I bought two newspapers!
Jello Mixits that are getting the great reviews-probably should throw mine away are still 89 cents
Fisher trail mix small bags are still $1.23
Smart balance butter was $1.59 so worked nicely with $1.75 IP that I have had for a long time
Nestle Ultimate cookie dough $2.25-$1.50 IP- really should not have bought since I have no self control around cookie dough!
I'm jealous you found P&Gs! We RARELY get them, and when we do it's the week before they expire. Since I go about once a week, I don't have time to make any good use of them and there is NO WAY my little monsters sit still long enough for me to flip through and cut out in store Facepalm

Distance is not for the fearful, it is for the bold. It's for those who are willing to spend a lot of time alone in exchange for a little time with the one they love. It's for those knowing a good thing when they see it, even if they don't see it nearly enough!

You never know how strong you are, until being strong is the only choice you have.

My store got them 2 months straight and then for the last 3 months, NOTHING! I asked the manager and she said they no longer bring them. Doesn't know why.

I so sad. Sadwalk

I wonder if there's a place to call/write/e-mail/messenger pigeon/smoke signal, to encourage the delivery of P&Gs to Commissaries?!

It's strange I don't see them every month and I didn't even back in the days before that horrible show. Back then they would put the whole stack of them out and they disappeared very slowly....I miss those days. the other Oct commi inserts are not very good this month. They actually had a whole box of them out, but I didn't even go back and grab more.

And they didn't have very many of P&G inserts out.Maybe 20 and I took 5.

We need to start trading "good" coupons here in the military thread. Not that my commy ever gets the "good" ones. laugh out loud I'd have to trade cash. Stick Out Tongue

Heads up on upcoming deals/coupons (it is in the commissary newsletter).

Quote :
o On Oct. 14, P & G will be distributing high-value coupons on their name-brand products found in their Brandsaver coupon booklet. For every coupon redeemed, P&G will make a donation to the National Breast Cancer Foundation to assist with early detection.

o From Sept. 27 to Oct. 24, General Mills will show its support for breast cancer awareness with high-value coupons on pink packaging on select General Mills brands.

o Continuing through mid-October, commissary customers will find sales and coupons for imported items from Germany and other European countries.

o Beginning Oct. 25, commissary customers will be able to purchase their complete Thanksgiving meal. A number of DeCA's industry partners - Kraft Foods, ConAgra Foods, General Mills, Quaker Oats, Heinz, Fresh Express, Peppridge Farm, P&G, Nestle Water and Hefty/Reynolds Wrap - will provide shoppers in the United States (including Alaska and Hawaii) with a coupon booklet valued at more than $40.
o The Rewars Card:
- As an introductory offer, customers who pick up their cards by Oct. 24 will have some coupons preloaded to their cards for use in the commissary immediately.
- As an incentive, customers who register their card by Oct. 24 also have the opportunity to enter the 2012 Commissary Rewards Card "Home for the Holidays Sweepstakes" sponsored by Dr Pepper-Snapple. This is a chance to win round-trip airline tickets for four to anywhere in the states, lodging in a hotel room that accommodates four for six days and five nights, and $1,000 spending money. The sweepstakes entry form appears at the end of the registration process online.
So be on the look out for nice coupons.

Unfortunately I will not be able to go there soon. Frown

Well I did see a $1 off the new seasoned steamers which my commissary doesn't even stock so I didn't feel bad taking that peelie! But I don't think it was pink, but it did have a very long expiration date.

I haven't seen any of the other coupons/booklets.

Probably a regional coupon but my SS today has a $2/1 Nature Made coupon good for ANY Nature Made Vitamins. Expires 11/11/2012. That's roughly .50 in "O" on every bottle of Folic Acid or about .40 on every bottle of Vitamin D.

God, I hope these scan. I'm sooo tired of the IP's. They never scan and my cashiers (although nice) get sick of keying in 10-20 on every trip.

Just a little FYI. The exchange is doing 15% off shopmyexchange.com orders today with the code x2142omg. (Love the omg at the end.) Excludes items with the letter X or M at the end of the item number and other items as well. See the exchange FB page for details.

I went yesterday and no P&G coupon book at my commissary, and they are usually always found at the door. I will go again Monday and pray there are some left.
