** We would like to welcome HawiianDawn as the new OP **.

Please thank
thelahaiesfamil for all of her hard work in this thread.**

Being a military spouse has its many challenges. One of the challenges is trying to feed your family on a limited income. I thought it would be helpful to the many of us SD'rs out there that are military or military spouses to have an official Deca/ Commissary thread. There are so many great deals and YMMV by store, but at least here you may be able to look for a deal that you might not have known about before. I HTH someone save a little for thier family!! Enjoy! Smilie

IMPORTANT COUPONING INFO:
Subject = ScotchBrite Coupon

Message
Hi.
I accessed your website and found a $1 off any one product coupon that
expires June 30, 2010. I tried to use the coupon today and was told the coupon is
"fraudulent." However, I found it on your website.
Are you not honoring the coupon you posted?
It certainly is embarrassing to have someone tell me the coupon I got from
a manufacturer's website is fraudulent.
Thanks,
XXXX XXXX

Dear xxxx,

Thank you for contacting 3M regarding our Scotch-Brite(TM) internet printed
coupons.

It is up to the retailers as to which coupons they will accept. This is
still an active coupon. We suggest you try another retailer.

If we can be of further assistance, please feel free to contact us.

Best Regards,

Patron Comments: I was told I could not use my Scotch-Brite coupons at the
XXXX AFB commissary because the coupons are fraudulent. The coupons were
obtained from: http://www.3m.com/us/home_leisure...nailsaver/
The current coupon is:
http://www.3m.com/us/home_leisure...coupon.pdf The
coupon available when I printed my coupons was the same coupon, except it
was for $1 off one product. Can you tell me what is fraudulent about these
coupons? Is 3m not honoring them? It certainly is embarrassing to be accused
of trying to use fraudulent coupons when I got the coupons from the
manufacturer's website. Thank you

Dear Ms. XXX

Thank you for accessing the Defense Commissary Agency's web site with your
concern. I apologize for any inconvenience you experienced at the XXX
Commissary.

I cannot tell you why the commissary did not accept your coupon; when a
commissary informs you a coupon is counterfeit, we expect them to be able to
show you the notice. I researched the counterfeit coupon alerts we have
provided to the commissaries and did not find one for Scotch-Brite brand
products.

I am copying Ms. xxxx, Scott Store Director, on this e-mail. I
suggest you contact her at xxx-xxx-xxxx to set up an appointment to meet
with her on your next visit to discuss the specifics of your coupon and the
items presented for purchase.

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to address this issue. I encourage
you to continue to take advantage of your commissary benefit and the 30
percent plus overall savings. If you need assistance in the future, please
do not hesitate to contact Ms. xxxx or any member of her management
staff.

Sincerely,

xxxxxxxxx

Walgreens RR CAN be used at the Commissary, see below:

Ms. Lxxxxx,

I don't see anything in the fine print limiting redemption to Walgreen’s,
although naturally they want you to use it there since the promotional money
is being provided for their company! So, yes, the commissary can accept
this.

Is everyone getting ready for Thanksgiving??
It seems so Smilie

I went to the commissary last night and it was sooo crowded. I wish I have time to go during the weekdays so I can avoid the crowds Frown

During checkout I happened on a young cashier, maybe she was new. She asked me if I have any Qs and of course I had, but I had only 50. She looked at me with her eyes wide opened: Only one, right? "hmmm, no all of them!" "Really?!, you mean only one?" OMG, I told her: "Don't tell me you haven't seen anybody with more Qs than me?" "no, never that much!" Wow! really? Poor girl, she panicked, she scanned all of them but it took her loooooong time, she asked for help but everybody was busy and I think she was afraid of accepting "bad" Qs. If she only knew that I usually have a lot more than this LMAO

The only NM below $2 that I found was Vit.A for $1.91. They had only 7 and I got them. It's still money.

Have a great Thanksgiving!!! hug

aqua fresh was 1.50 at my store and there are $1 coupons for the extreme kind. I don't usually pay for toothpaste and have too much already but it's rare for me to get the extreme aquafresh for cheap.

I was going to ask what are you guys doing with all these vitamins. I was wondering if we can donate them. Are the vitamins an acceptable item?

I donate quite a bit to the local women's shelter and senior center.....they know who can't afford to buy vitamins and pass them to them.

The November Maxi Saver has a $2 off any nature made product....manf. coupon exp. 12/31/12....you can avoid the printable RA one. There were piles of these at my commissary.bounce

I sure hope my commissary has this booklet. I had to throw out almost (60) of the Sunday insert coupons after the prices went up. Sadwalk

Hi! I didn't find any of the Nov. Maxisaver Nature Made q's, but I still have my RA q's ready & hope you have yours ready too. I just found out some good news from the comm! I had them check the upcoming prices of several of the Nature Made vitamins and the prices of two of the MM's are going back down Dec 16th. The vitamin D will drop back to 1.4X. The Pot. Glu. will drop back to 1.5X!

I also found some new tearpads for $2 off one Advil (40 ct +) and four new holiday booklets! There were two similar q booklets from Acosta with q's for .50/2 Honest Tea, $2 off one Illy 4pk, Odwalla, Simply Apple etc. They also had a Kraft Holiday Baking booklet and a Holiday Helpings booklet from Conagra with Swiss Miss, Hunts etc.

If anyone wants more q info or wants to trade just PM me. I'm so excited about the P&G RR's that are printing at Wags without the usual restrictions. I haven't used one at the comm in over a year, so I'm sure I'll have to educate them all over again. I repped Crystal in the Wags forum for this lovely info. I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!

Hi guys! Just a quick one. Not sure how many of you are close to a BX, but they were handing out coupons for $25 off a $100 purchase (good only for 25 Nov) today at the BX.

Hard to beat 25% off. There were stacks at all of the registers. I asked for two and they gave me an extra one with no problem.

I was just coming to ask if the commissary would take these RR since there's no restrictions. Is it in there coupon policy? I know i'm going to need proof.

It was on the DECA (commissary) Facebook that they will take Wags (etc) RR if they don't say ONLY at Wags on them. I have used them before, but sometimes they say they need to call for approval. Good luck!

At Scott - The cashiers might not know, but customer service knows. I just used some tonight. The cashier called customer service and asked if they take Walgreens coupons. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

CS came out and explained to them that they take them as long as they don't say ONLY on them.

I usually make sure I take another RR, and so I can show them the difference- and where to look if I have to.

They aren't used to taking them much anymore, so I wouldn't expect some of the cashiers to know. But a quick call to CS takes care of it. CS might have to walk out and look at them to make sure they don't say ONLY - but they know.

I was out there today and they had Planters 6 ounce fruit and nut trail mix on clearance for .94 cents a bag. The $1 off any 2 Kraft coupons that they have hanging all over the shelves everywhere includes Planters. So that brings them down to .49 cents a bag.

The stovetop stuffing also works with that coupon. They are .75 cents a box. So that brings them down to .25 cents a box.

Also - the boxes of Idaho Spuds are $1.27. They have a Try Me Free sticker on them (Pink). You can either get a refund or FOUR $1 off a box coupons by mail. Based on the price, I think the 4 $1 coupons would be a better deal.

They had lots of 5 lb bags of hamburger marked down to $1.70 a pound. They weren't able to sell it all today, so they were moving it to the freezer.

I had them go back and get me one. The butcher came back and apologized for taking so long and told me "I was checking to find the cheapest package, because I know how you shop. LOLOLOL

Geez - and I haven't even been out there for a few months.

I just popped in, used the coupons on the shelves (closing time on Sunday...so not a bunch of them left) and the P&G RRs.

Oh - yeah - They had $1 off 2 Kraft and Oscar Meyer refrigerated coupons. The Kraft Big Slices of cheese were $1.79 before coupon. And I got some of the Oscar Meyer 20 ounce family size ham that was $3 before coupon.

I didn't see cracker barrel listed on the q. Frown It is $1.99 and I love that stuff!

Other than that - I don't think I know very much.

I don't know for sure. I think you can turn it off.

I haven't actually been very active for -- well forever. Haven't even shopped at all for several months.

I guess if people want to see what deals you do they can stalk you through the threads.

I agree. It is kind of odd.
