** We would like to welcome HawiianDawn as the new OP **.

Please thank
thelahaiesfamil for all of her hard work in this thread.**

Being a military spouse has its many challenges. One of the challenges is trying to feed your family on a limited income. I thought it would be helpful to the many of us SD'rs out there that are military or military spouses to have an official Deca/ Commissary thread. There are so many great deals and YMMV by store, but at least here you may be able to look for a deal that you might not have known about before. I HTH someone save a little for thier family!! Enjoy! Smilie

IMPORTANT COUPONING INFO:
Subject = ScotchBrite Coupon

Message
Hi.
I accessed your website and found a $1 off any one product coupon that
expires June 30, 2010. I tried to use the coupon today and was told the coupon is
"fraudulent." However, I found it on your website.
Are you not honoring the coupon you posted?
It certainly is embarrassing to have someone tell me the coupon I got from
a manufacturer's website is fraudulent.
Thanks,
XXXX XXXX

Dear xxxx,

Thank you for contacting 3M regarding our Scotch-Brite(TM) internet printed
coupons.

It is up to the retailers as to which coupons they will accept. This is
still an active coupon. We suggest you try another retailer.

If we can be of further assistance, please feel free to contact us.

Best Regards,

Colleen

Patron Comments: I was told I could not use my Scotch-Brite coupons at the
XXXX AFB commissary because the coupons are fraudulent. The coupons were
obtained from: http://www.3m.com/us/home_leisure...nailsaver/
The current coupon is:
http://www.3m.com/us/home_leisure...coupon.pdf The
coupon available when I printed my coupons was the same coupon, except it
was for $1 off one product. Can you tell me what is fraudulent about these
coupons? Is 3m not honoring them? It certainly is embarrassing to be accused
of trying to use fraudulent coupons when I got the coupons from the
manufacturer's website. Thank you

Dear Ms. XXX

Thank you for accessing the Defense Commissary Agency's web site with your
concern. I apologize for any inconvenience you experienced at the XXX
Commissary.

I cannot tell you why the commissary did not accept your coupon; when a
commissary informs you a coupon is counterfeit, we expect them to be able to
show you the notice. I researched the counterfeit coupon alerts we have
provided to the commissaries and did not find one for Scotch-Brite brand
products.

I am copying Ms. xxxx, Scott Store Director, on this e-mail. I
suggest you contact her at xxx-xxx-xxxx to set up an appointment to meet
with her on your next visit to discuss the specifics of your coupon and the
items presented for purchase.

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to address this issue. I encourage
you to continue to take advantage of your commissary benefit and the 30
percent plus overall savings. If you need assistance in the future, please
do not hesitate to contact Ms. xxxx or any member of her management
staff.

Sincerely,

xxxxxxxxx

Ms. Lxxxxx,

I don't see anything in the fine print limiting redemption to Walgreen's,
although naturally they want you to use it there since the promotional money
is being provided for their company! So, yes, the commissary can accept
this.

I am from Scott, but I haven't been out there for a few weeks. I only bought one Delights and it was the turkey one - as that was the only one they had left. If the commissary carries something, they should be able to order it for you, even if they don't stock it at Scott. As a general rule I have found SOs at Scott to be particularly aggravating though. But I haven't special ordered for awhile, so they have probably changed the "rules" about 57 times since then.
The Plannogram https://www.commissaries.com/busi...id2631.pdf
is showing:

13 7790047133 Jimmy Dean Bfast Bowl Dlghts Sausage 7.00 1 K1 8 17 2.13 6.90 in 6.40 in 1.90 in Front
14 7790054137 Jimmy Dean Qdilla Dlt Turkey Sausage Egg 7.50OZ 1 K2/New 12 24 2.00 6.30 in 6.78 in 1.38 in Front
15 7790050241 Jimmy Dean Turkey Sausage Dlights 4ct 20.40 1 K1 6 11 1.83 8.06 in 8.92 in 2.29 in Front
16 7790050242 Jimmy Dean Can Bacon Dlights 4ct 18.00 1 K2 6 11 1.83 8.06 in 8.92 in 2.29 in Front

So they should have 4 kinds.

Thanks. I haven't done a SO since Rolaids and Schick were a thing. Wink I guess I'll have to call the dreaded Customer Service desk and see what I can manage, lol. Nevermind on the UPCs, looks like jteef did it for me. Thanks!

Any Scott AFB shoppers? Back in the area after many years and was thinking of placing a special order for some of the "O" items (only 10-20 of each since I don't have many Qs). Does anyone have recent experience with special orders? Specifically I'm hoping for 20 of the Delights since I have Qs and the shelf was empty last time I was there. I've never ordered cold food before. The only delights I saw labels for were Turkey Quesadilla and Sausage Bowl, has anyone had luck getting in other types?

Thanks!
with Scott you definitely need to keep on them. I ordered some viola (sp?) when it was like 0.25 per bag with coupon. Never got a call that it came in. Just happened to go in one day and checked the freezer and they were restocked (im sure with my order). out of the several orders i've placed i may have been called once. I'm sure they would have restocked the shelf with the boxes of honey bunches of oats i ordered too if i wouldn't have called to ask if it had come in.

I wanted to order some ID creamer that they stopped getting in and took off the shelf. They told me they could only order it if it was still in their system. Keep forgetting to call in but i hope i can order it, i don't feel like paying walmart prices for it.

It's also often possible for a commissary to special order items-usually in case lots only--that the commissary does not carry as part of everyday stockage. Such items might be available at another commissary located close by, or generally authorized for commissary stockage and available from a commissary's commercial supplier.

They did order something for me they don't usually carry one time. But they actually started carrying it after that.

Distance is not for the fearful, it is for the bold. It's for those who are willing to spend a lot of time alone in exchange for a little time with the one they love. It's for those knowing a good thing when they see it, even if they don't see it nearly enough!

You never know how strong you are, until being strong is the only choice you have.

Didn't see it in the wiki, though I could have missed it. When do prices generally change over at the commissary? Since it's the 1st, should I expect some price hikes? Need to get in an order, but have some family stuff going on and am not sure when I'll get out there to price check. Thinking of getting some Finish, Jimmy Dean Delights and Poise products.

Next price change- is 2/1 sometimes prices go down.
Currently Finish is $3.79

Don't hate me ladies, but guess who I saw? The Kraft lady-she actually recognizes me now and she was handing out $5 Kraft coupons and gave me two! Tomato This one is for cold products and expires 6/30 Tomato
She also told me that some of Kraft prices would be going down 2/1 The large bottle of Kraft Mayo that has salad dressing mix under the lining will be $1.69-currently it is $2.69. She also had put out Game time booklet of coupons and it has $1 off in it-sadly those expire 2/3 because that booklet has some good coupons in it.
One of the best is 75 cents off any one Taco Bell Home originals product and the seasoning is 50 cents and the salsa is currently only a $1

I have a question regarding the $3 Poise Wellness Coupon. I used it to buy some of the menopause wipes today, but is it valid for things like maxi pads as well? I know people you may actually be able to use those. Smilie I could NOT (edit) find wording specific to the "Wellness" line on the wipes I bought, but figured I was safe since the wipes are pictured on the coupon. Smilie

You may already know this, but do not use the wipes in an intimate area. Several bloggers online have burned their hoohaa when they used them like Charmin wipes. linky [melanieinthemiddle.com]

Thanks for the PSA, I guess when I see Poise and wipes together, I think, like she did, that would be the purpose (I have not seen or purchased the actual product).

I also think it's unusual that the panty fresheners are not for the insides of your panties, but rather the outside of your panties. So if you wear panty liners normally, you'd have something inside AND something outside if you chose to use this product.
