** We would like to welcome HawiianDawn as the new OP **.

Please thank
thelahaiesfamil for all of her hard work in this thread.**

Being a military spouse has its many challenges. One of the challenges is trying to feed your family on a limited income. I thought it would be helpful to the many of us SD'rs out there that are military or military spouses to have an official Deca/ Commissary thread. There are so many great deals and YMMV by store, but at least here you may be able to look for a deal that you might not have known about before. I HTH someone save a little for thier family!! Enjoy! Smilie

IMPORTANT COUPONING INFO:
Subject = ScotchBrite Coupon

Message
Hi.
I accessed your website and found a $1 off any one product coupon that
expires June 30, 2010. I tried to use the coupon today and was told the coupon is
"fraudulent." However, I found it on your website.
Are you not honoring the coupon you posted?
It certainly is embarrassing to have someone tell me the coupon I got from
a manufacturer's website is fraudulent.
Thanks,
XXXX XXXX

Dear xxxx,

Thank you for contacting 3M regarding our Scotch-Brite(TM) internet printed
coupons.

It is up to the retailers as to which coupons they will accept. This is
still an active coupon. We suggest you try another retailer.

If we can be of further assistance, please feel free to contact us.

Best Regards,

Patron Comments: I was told I could not use my Scotch-Brite coupons at the
XXXX AFB commissary because the coupons are fraudulent. The coupons were
obtained from: http://www.3m.com/us/home_leisure...nailsaver/
The current coupon is:
http://www.3m.com/us/home_leisure...coupon.pdf The
coupon available when I printed my coupons was the same coupon, except it
was for $1 off one product. Can you tell me what is fraudulent about these
coupons? Is 3m not honoring them? It certainly is embarrassing to be accused
of trying to use fraudulent coupons when I got the coupons from the
manufacturer's website. Thank you

Dear Ms. XXX

Thank you for accessing the Defense Commissary Agency's web site with your
concern. I apologize for any inconvenience you experienced at the XXX
Commissary.

I cannot tell you why the commissary did not accept your coupon; when a
commissary informs you a coupon is counterfeit, we expect them to be able to
show you the notice. I researched the counterfeit coupon alerts we have
provided to the commissaries and did not find one for Scotch-Brite brand
products.

I am copying Ms. xxxx, Scott Store Director, on this e-mail. I
suggest you contact her at xxx-xxx-xxxx to set up an appointment to meet
with her on your next visit to discuss the specifics of your coupon and the
items presented for purchase.

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to address this issue. I encourage
you to continue to take advantage of your commissary benefit and the 30
percent plus overall savings. If you need assistance in the future, please
do not hesitate to contact Ms. xxxx or any member of her management
staff.

Sincerely,

xxxxxxxxx

Walgreens RR CAN be used at the Commissary, see below:

Ms. Lxxxxx,

I don't see anything in the fine print limiting redemption to Walgreen’s,
although naturally they want you to use it there since the promotional money
is being provided for their company! So, yes, the commissary can accept
this.

Also has anyone else read some of the commy ordering through AFC? maybe I just dont have much luck ordering but with so many ppl putting in orders at the commissaries all over the world for advil I wonder what the repercussion of this is going to be...
I think they have already been ordering them - and there haven't been any repercussions thus far.... but you never know.

I think that now Walmart is giving overage and people are jumping on the band wagon there for free advil and a tiny bit of overage - things might change.

But then - who knows. There have been tons and tons of thermacare deals done for years. Most advil coupons already have a size count. They chose not to put a size count on this one.

Who knows - they might be needing to bump up their market share right now.

I was reading an investment article stating that was why Cambells was putting out coupons to make their soup free lately - to hold on to their market share, even at a loss. As long as they can hold the market - they can always bump up the profits later. If they lose their hold in the market - they might never get it back.

It isn't always just about the cost of the product and the value of the coupon. Sometimes it is more than just that.

I was thinking about ordering some but have never even tried an order before. I'm just amazed at the cases people are ordering. I avoided buying them for a long time due to the wording (trial). I think my attempt to stay under the radar has kept me from ordering in the past but I may have to attempt a KY order when we finally get to GA with the new coupon.

And thank you so much again for the RAOK! I seem to miss all the good coupons here at Hood.

Having huge ordering problems with that one. Crazylaugh I think it's even more scary that WalMarters are getting in on the action. All good gravy trains come to an end, sooner or later. Schick and I had a three year love affair. Blush3

Used some *ahem* chicken tenderloins to make chicken medallions in gravy with mushrooms & cashews over sticky rice and shoepeg corn on the side.. ( I'd call it cashew chicken but there weren't any other vegetables in it. laugh out loud )

Found a few good Q's at the Commissary today.

On a standalone display of Nesquik products were MQ's for $1.00 off any one Nesquik product, any size, any flavor. The Nesquik 16 oz Chocolate milks in the milk cooler are $1.00 each, so free.

Peelies on the Thai Kitchen products for $1.00 off on any Thai Kitchen product. I use them on the small cans of coconut milk that are 79 cents and get a little overage.

Peelies on the Simply Asia products for $1.00 off any Simply Asia product. This is $1.69 at the Commissary now, but I use these at CVS when they run Simply Asia Soups at $1.00, getting them for free.

And in the Ice Cream case, MQ's for 50 cents off any Minute Maid Frozen Novelty Product. These very nicely have no expiration date. Nothing great at the Commissary on these but our local Fry's Grocery runs the Minute Maids at $1.00 and doubles Q's,
so free for me and anyone else in a similar situation. And with no Expiry, might be worth holding on to these.

drool Hubby can go through 12 of those in one week (not to mention my son loves them) I hope I can find that tearpad before our local Ebay seller does.

If anyone finds them at their store and wants to trade, let me know. I'd trade graciously.

When you're standing in line at the commissary, you know that little doohickey that says "NEXT PLEASE!!" Hubby says he used to have that over his bed back in his single days. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic) laugh out loud Methinks he wears rose colored glasses when remembering his past.

Thanks for sharing, Pig! Smilie

I found peelies for $2 off Nutro the other day. I wanted to see the size restrictions but that thing was the devil to peel off. It was for a 6 pound or larger bag. The small bags are 5 pounds. Much better to print the $7 q in their page, which I am pretty sure has reset. I printed again this week. Smilie

Thanks, I'll get dh to check for the Nesquik coupons here. My kids love the strawberry and vanilla milks. I used to buy the Horizon ones but now they are too big for little boxes. They want more to drink than that. laugh out loud
