I had this for 3-4 years with only maybe twice a year use and the top of gear which is plastic rubbed off so the motor stopped spinning the blades. Maybe my negligence but I it's built mediocre Otherwise it did a good job at it.

Thanks for the input! I just bought one because I am in need of a blender to blend my drinks. I plan to use it rather frequently and I have lots of frozen fruit. I hope it works well since many people appreciate it. Also, for about $30 on a blender, it's a hard price to beat.

I have had this blender for two years and it works excellent. I use it everyday for my shakes and i add usually frozen fruits and ice. I had no complaints at all. Ordering another one for my mom Smilie

Read the reviews on Amazon about the blades cutting the plastic inside. I'll pass.

Its impossible for the blades to contact the plastic. The complaints about plastic are from people who had it seize, likely because they put the blades together backwards. Which is hard to do. And most of the other negatives are people who find the design "extremely dangerous" because they cant seem to handle taking apart a blender without cutting themselves.

Never had an issue with mine. But ya can't fix stupid.

Except there's nothing "professional" about a Ninja.
