Quick review to show the x-55 http://youtu.be/0nS-g0bUot8

BEWARE: These 65" and 55" TVs are not fully functional like other smart TV

According to their technician staffs, this generation tv is a "test/trial" TV for outside China customers. There are so many bugs in their firmware software and several are misadvertising conception.
1. This is not an Android TV. It does NOT support Google play store natively
2. Not a true 120Hz. Most 1080p are degraded to 60Hz. Max 4k is at 30Hz even using GTX 1070/1080 card (and funny how their techs are blaming the graphic cards)
3. Sideloaded Youtube app will NOT play 4k quality video
4. Remote does not recognize english voice. If you're using universal remote, this tv is not listed on any. Unlike other major brand smart TV, there is NO remote app thats compatible with this TV
5. TV does not automatically recognize EDID for HDMI input. Same problem with optical sound. You have to change it manually using the remote.
6. Do not expect to watch 3D or 4K contents from their a year free service. US customers often gets blocked by their server in China.
7. Loading time turning on the TV is 20 seconds
8. Calibration custom setting will reset after 10 hours the tv being off

Bought the 65 last time around
Was at my front door 5 days later
Be ready for one big box and have a friend or two very heavy TV
I run a Minix box to it and very happy with picture
The Chinese menu is a bit different but $699 for 65 is good for me
Just hope I do not have to send it back already threw away like 100 pounds of cardboard

I'd be buying it for the free live 'chinese' content, do you know if the 'free' programming is available even without the VIP membership?

I have a few questions for users who have this tv, appreciate any answers

1 - Warranty support because its from China
2- What if its damaged when shipping
3- How does this compare to other 65 4k tv's is this cheap because of the chinese branding?

Oh wow, this went on sale again only 1 month later? nice for anyone that missed out last time. I've had mine in Northeast US 3 weeks. Disabled the chinese content cause was annoying since I dont understand. Web browser is probably the only Smart aspect of it I use, well also supports casting. tv Looks awesome, very thin bezel etc. picture quality for blu ray, gaming is fantastic. Cable tv on 65" is going to look as good as cable tv can look with image adjustments. I dont have 4k content but the 4k on youtube browser looked incredible but my wifi sucked so it was slow motion. Speakers are great for tv speakers in my opinion. I'd recommend. Plus I only paid $70 for 4 year squaretrade warranty.
Plus you really do get 30 days free return.

and before anyone else asks, Yes it does take 20+ seconds to get the input to show up. then few more seconds to expand to full screen. But that hasn't annoyed me. I have a projector that takes long to get picture too so whatever. This is android TV and apparently android tvs take long to boot to picture

Only buy this tv for kodi or a dumb tv. No DRM for Netflix, Youtube or Amazon Video so only low res. Voice commands are Chinese Language only. Kodi or Playstore would need to be sideloaded. Nvidia Shield has EDID issues, I leave mine on day dreaming because I don't want to waste 10 minutes trying to switch the EDID at the right time to get it working at 4k 60hz. Works well with the Fire TV(only can display 30hz)

Picture and Build quality are pretty good. Picture options are very limited. I would say it looks as good as a mid ranger. If you use a lot of devices, this tv is not for the simple folks who just want her to display and thats it. A lot of devices have initial issues for some reason, especially consoles. Their support has been pretty good but for the most part we shouldn't need it for all of these simple features. I would say its a Beta TV. Info can be found all over their forums. Also no one can confirm its a 120hz panel or not, does not display at 120hz. Someone has gotten it to display 120hz on a pc through a custom res only at 1080p. Also, fark the Chinese content.
