I've bought both TOS and TNG SERIES discs. Looking to get more out of Trek, I looked into podcasts. There's an amazing one run by Gene's son called MissionLogs that talks in depth about each episode.

The official (new) podcast is Engage. It's more about a fan tabloid but the guy that does it is terrible. He's probably a relation to some Paramount executive.

Definitely, but so far this is the best way for the Hard Core Trekkies to get it release day..

I was going to say all Hard Core Trekkers already have everythng in the pack except for the Animated Set already since there really isn't anything new, but I guess the truly hard cor would buy it anyway.

I thought this set seemed more designed at new collectors who've missed all the recent deal and the Collectors who want anything/everything trek related regardless of how many times they've bought the same thing. I guess most of the rest of us will likely just pick up the expected standalone Animated Series Bluray (replacing the current DVD set which replaced the Laserdisc boxset) and place it next to the TOS and Movie Bluray Boxes,

For an even lower price, Amazon.ca is currently showing $155.97 canadian for the same set. With the current exchange rate, that works out to $119.08 usd.

https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/...UTF8&psc=1

If anyone knows of any differences in the sets, I'd love to hear it.

A set from Paramount? Usually they seem to use single production run discs worldwide (other than the disc artwork itself which is country specific).
