Buy a new system...pop an ssd in there. Enjoy a fast computer.
See front page systems...you dont need a very powerful processor...dont buy 10 year old junk from ebay.

A core2duo is a 8+ year old processor. If this is for a business shouldn't it be a bit newer and more reliable? How about your backup?

PCs don't last forever, and new stuff is pretty cheap today. If Quickbooks is something you run once a week for your business just to keep "the numbers" up to date you can probably deal with an older computer that might die (assuming you backup your Quickbooks files like your life depends on it). If you're running Quickbooks 24/7, printing checks and invoices and so forth, you probably need something more reliable. A decent $600 desktop from Dell Small Business would be a good place to start.

thanks to all for the help.i do backup quickbooks.we use quickbooks about twice a week.1-2 hours each time.the laptop that was stolen was a dell.man that thing was really old.i'm surprised it lasted that long.usually laptops in my family dont last very long.another reason we are switching from laptop to desktop.
