great deal. i paid $399 a few months ago on the deal below. i had to buy at costco B&M and had to assemble myself. it is totally worth paying $40 extra not to deal with it. transporting it from the B&M is a 3 man operation by itself

Thanks OP! Missed the $400 Costco price, they were all sold out around me. Got one using Discover 5% CB bonus.

Got it! Free assembly checkout needs to be fixed by Amazon - it requires you to schedule the assembly, despite the fact that delivery of the grill is an unknown 1-2 months out....

very nice. should be able to fit a packer brisket on this and also no need to cut ribs in half like other smaller smokers

also nice you don't have to transport it from a store, the boxes on these things are huge and won't fit most cars

make sure you have a helping hand as the body and lid of this thing weighs a ton

due to the weight, it will be a good idea to unpack it first (outside, where it's delivered) then bring the individual parts to wherever you want it to end up

I got this on the Costco deal. The seal isnt the greatest - needs some mods. But overall, killer value. Like 1/3 the price of a BGE with the equivalent accessories.

How many rack of ribs can you fit in it?

EDIT: I am talking about the 24" from Costco below. Sorry for the confusion!

I can fit 3 uncut racks of spares or back loin from Costco, but it's a tight fit for the top and bottom racks. The middle has the biggest diameter so it fits the easiest. This is on one grate and the smoker comes with a lower and upper grate. But if you fill the lower grate with ribs, there's not much space to attach upper grate.

Id imagine it's possible to do 5-6 racks without buying any accessories like a rib rack/holder. But it would be tough - you'd need to position everything just right.

Thanks for the info. I'm currently using a vertical masterbuilt smoker right now and it has served me very well. Looking into one of these kamado when the masterbuilt breaks down

Shipping weight is 179 pounds. I wonder how they will box it up. What are you all cooking on this?

Seems like the target website had these for $399, and my local target had them clearance for even cheaper. Is it a different model?
