Staples is doing a clearance on the Pilot Vanishing point fountain penfor 83.13. That is an easy 50+ bucks off its usual amazon price. Fountain pens are not for everyone but those in the know should be aware of this pen and the quality at this price.

I bought this pen like 4 years ago and it look like it been through war, it's heavily brassing and i few ding from me droping. It might not be the best color if you care about having a clean pen, the paint will come off quick

I bought a Decimo (the smaller, Japanese version of the VP) a couple of years back and while it's a nice pen, I just don't like the little nib (it's the 18K gold one, but it still doesn't have a great feel to it) and therefore never use it. I ought to sell the thing and buy something that would get more use...

It also makes a good amount of cash 'Vanish' from your wallet if you buy it

Congrats?!?

Maybe you can trade them for a single good pen? One that's refillable and will last a lifetime, not to mention writing smoothly.

12 of these will last me a life time and allow me to give the grandkids a little cash and a half a box of old ink pens....

I'm banking on living a lot longer, so ink savings alone (a $10 bottle of Noodlers will last me years, and I use a pen quite a bit) make a decent fountain (or rollerball, if that's your thing) a worthwhile investment for me. I also prefer to write with something that is smooth and works with bulletproof ink (which helps me to retain control of my money).

Thanks for posting - love my G-2s and Meisterstück, but was looking for something in-between for daily desk writing!
