Is the Tidal Privileges sign up thing after "paying" necessary or just marketing spam?

EDIT: never mind it probably was. Received thanks for joining email which also said my email was my login, so no additional screen name real name phone number city seems to be necessary. Think it was to put you on their mailing lists for local concerts or something

EDIT 2: for the people above, in the iPhone sennheiser app, there should be a way to click on "Select Your Music" or "Audio Sources". Tidal should be listed at the bottom with a little blue banner saying "90 days included", clicking that should bring up an iPhone menu choice of "Login to Tidal" and "Sign up for Tidal" clicking that sign up, should forward you to message explaining you won't be changed for 90 days and so on. Typical sign up from there, email password, then CC or forward to PayPal, does it all right in the Senn app not safari.

Cheers good luck
