2600 ft? My laser can't go that far.

too bad it doesn't charge with micro usb.

The cord that comes with it would be lost in my house by the end of the day.

Wow. So I'm a mailman and have a couple small headlights to see in the winter time but this thing is amazing. It seems a little big but I have to try it.

Thoughts on how this would hold up for a Spartan run?

Seems like a good one for camping. Has anyone used it for that purpose?

The "2000mAh" battery seems sealed (one customer did not not find any screw for opening). Seller claims 18650 battery but no one has verified that (and it could be tab soldered instead of spring contacts). This sucks because: judging from the size it can easily hold two 18650 for 6000+mAh capacity and replaceable on the go for longer runtime, and no one knows if the built-in cell is actually 2000mAh or will not die within a year. Also no mention of lumens or LED emitter used. The fake/photoshopped images/beamshots and half-meaningless specs on these Chinese listed products are just annoying. Product title claims mining hunting fishing etc -- maybe that's why hundreds in China die in mining accidents every year.

I once made a mistake of buying a highly focused flashlight (a "thrower") like this that shoots a tiny circle across the room. Totally useless within indoor or modest distances. The bright spot also makes the surrounding darker not to mention the blinding brightness when it hits something near. One reviewer did found the headlight useful for checking the barn from her house, probably from 100+ft away.

The headlamp with front battery looks awfully front heavy and reviewers talk about the flimsy elastic headband. I guess this saved the manufacturer 25 cents.
