So when, here on Earth....have they ever "normally" been $40 ?

Don't complain to me, complain to Amazon which lists that as the retail price. That being said, under $10 seems to be a very good deal and cheaper than most.

Complaining to Amazon will do nothing since it wasn't listed by "Amazon" but this third party seller.

They do it to be misleading in hopes of increasing sales. You shouldn't be posting (or just copying and pasting) to be misleading.

It's been the same price since at least February. We will soon be entering September.

This fake "sale" price is the normal price.

Actually, every time this item has gone on sale for $10, it's been a front page deal. But every time I missed it before it sold out. It only just came back in stock (it's been sitting in my cart since the last sale). But if you don't like the deal, feel free not to buy it. I'm only sharing this info for those who are interested.

Actually...I was incorrect...it's been $10 way before February.

That's one long "clearance".

Let me guess...you got the same email from them and decided to share their "special deal"....right ?

That's great you're sharing your info. I'm sharing my info that this isn't "normally $40" and never above $10 for a long time now.

Buying a normally $40 item for $10 would be a "hot deal". Buying a $10 item for $10....is just a normal transaction.

I think the normal price for the packing squares at ikea is better.

I already answered your question - it's been in my cart on Amazon since the last time it was on sale but sold out. I just got the cart notification that it was back in stock when I went to my amazon cart.

But I don't get why you are trolling this thread. If you don't like the deal, move along. No one is forcing you to buy it, but clearly others want to.

Maybe you'd increase your reputation points if you actually posted helpful comments instead of dissing the same deal over and over again. Anyway, I did my SD community duty of sharing the deal. Time to move on with my life, hopefully you can too.
