The season pass for Star Wars Battlefront rarely goes on sale. The current weekly sale has it as $15 off for a total of $35. With it you get all 4 DLC packs ($15 each)

I apologize if this is not how to post. Long time shopper first time posting.

Beat me to it.
Saw this last night, on sale for 6 more days. Really debating if I should get this or not, there is a lot of extra content provided with the season pass and unfortunately Battlefront is one of the worst console games there is in the "pay to win" category. So many overpowered weapons and perks you get from having the season pass.

$35 still seems like a lot for a game that's been out so long but you get 3 or 4 map packs and it usually retails for $50+ so it is a good deal.

Sorry I wouldn't pay $35 for the entire game. Small that it is.

Good post. All the important information & the price in the title. You even put in a working link. It's a good deal for those sitting on the fence. Thinking about buying the DLC. Reps.

The Death Star DLC is coming soon, which is all you should need to know Smilie. I got the season pass a while ago and really enjoy it (so does my 8 year old son). I know Battlefront isn't for for the hardcore FPS gamers, but for someone like me, who doesn't have 16 hours a day to master a shooter, this is pretty good, IMO. I gave one of the recent CoD releases a try and wound up with 22 deaths to 0 kills...at least with Battlefront I'm closer to 50-50. Just my two cents.

I didn't wont to go there but I agree. Paid $50 when the game was fairly new. Still feeling burned by the lack of content & a story mode. Played for about 3 days. Now the disk just sits in my pile of games. The DLC should have been free for the people that paid full price new.

I agree with you that they should have released the DLC for free. Lots of people (myself included) are bummed out that there is no campaign. BTW, The Force Unleashed is backwards compatible and the graphics are actually still pretty good, definitely recommend everyone grab a used copy if you didn't already own it for xbox 360 and give it a play through, tons of fun - especially once you've got all the force powers leveled up so you can just walk through the game like a boss (lol).

Battlefront addressed some issues that people had, they completely revamped droid run so the last team to hold 2 of the 3 droids at the ten minute mark is no longer the winner. It's about who has held all three droids for longer. It's a much better game now.

As someone who doesn't have it. Do I just need to buy the discount and then the season pass? Will I need Xbox live paid service?

Not sure I understand your question. Battlefront is multiplayer only so you definitely want an Xbox Live Gold account to use it. There are some solo challenges you can do but I'm not even sure they work when you're not online.

And I play it every day and enjoy it. To each their own. I paid full price on pre-order and definitely got my money's worth.

The sale I'm certain is xbox gold live members only. Also the base game shows $20 for me and season pass is $35(as op posted). For those who don't have the base game and are considering buying this and the digital base game from xbox, look at the Ultimate edition instead for $50 and save $5. Ultimate combines base+ season pass + deluxe content. Deluxe by itself isn't worth it since you can unlock the weapons in-game, but the sale price makes Ultimate the better deal in this case.

As for if the game is worth $50 or not, you get a big MEH from me. I've enjoyed it so far, but i wish my wife hadn't paid so much for it(was a gift). I honestly like Outer Rim's cargo missions and wish they'd add a dedicated server cargo only runs. Bespin adds some nice content as well, but i find myself a lot going back to Outer Rim. Looking forward to Death Star though, sounds like it should be a blast!

Just my two cents...I pre-ordered the game and got the Season pass the day it came out. $110 retail, I can see why people are feeling burned by the content. Personally, I think the game is pretty awesome. They have been constantly updating the game and tweaking settings (like being close to your partner will make your star card regenerate faster).

I think they did a pretty good job at listening to their customer base and trying to appease and adapt. The first two DLC's were very weak IMO. I have high hopes for the Death Star that is coming out. They have added individual searches for blast, caro, etc into the DLC finally, but it can be spotty and doesn't always work well. Overall, at this price point, I think it's a great deal. The graphics are amazing, gameplay extremely smooth, and some really cool levels. Much better with a good partner as you can just dominate.

I don't agree with the pay to win. While there are a few guns that are nice in the pay category, my 3 goto guns are the ones that came with the game.

I don't have season pass so my go to guns are also the ones that came with the game. My buddy doesn't have it either and we win pretty much every droid run game we play.

That being said, it is very much a pay to win. 9 out of 10 times I'm killed its by the scatter gun. It's ridiculous that a gun that powerful is only available to people who spent extra money on the game, it's the very definition of pay to win.

I agree with you on everything else though, I still play all the time and was just last night talking about how impressed I am that they actually listened to the fans with regards to the droid run scoring.

Does anyone know if EA Access still gives 10% off the sale price? I have been debating getting 1 month of Access and then the SP (at full price its the same and get a month of EA games Smilie . On the other hand I have been holding off for a sale like this. I was given the game for free so haven't paid for anything yet but am really looking forward to the Death Star so might be time to jump. If EA Access still gives the discount, I would do that then get the SP. thanks OP for putting this out there!
