Lots of unknowns and you should take a look at their warranty/return policy. Not that customer friendly, especially when you are dealing with something as fragile as a cpu,

You should've picked up the one on fp a few days ago from monoprice if you were really interested.

All good sellers have little feedback at one point.

Kaby Lake apparently might possibly be up to 14% higher in performance over Skylake. Perhaps something to consider.

"Up to 14% increase" means absolutely nothing. That could be a 1% gain and still be accurate. And 14% is practically impossible to actually perceive. It's like going from 20mph to 23mph.

These things need to get cheaper quickly so I can get my new build started.

Early next year so some might not be able to wait that long. I'm pretty bummed over that too. Was hoping to get in on Microcenter CPU & Mobo bundle deals on black friday.

These are real gains in gaming if the per-core performance gets better. A lot of games are CPU-bottlenecked, even on max settings. This happens more so for me on 1080p and because I'm trying to get 144 hz, although I care a lot less about fps on a non-multiplayer game or something like Ark Survival, Rust, or Minecraft.

Seriously though, I was getting CPU bottlenecked on a 1070 on max and low settings in Battlefield1 beta on a 3770k sitting at ~4.4ghz, getting 90 fps at times with like 50-60% GPU utilization.

Kaby Lake won't be 14% faster than Skylake on average - at the same clock, more like 3-5% faster on average. Kaby Lake may clock higher than Skylake and gain an additional performance advantage that way, but that remains to be seen. Personally, I wouldn't order from this vendor - too many unknowns and Monoprice had this same deal yesterday and the day before. I'm guessing we're going to see many of these deals in the coming months.
