GEL-Kayano is Asics flagship stability trainer - MSRP $160. I'm a big guy and it's my go-to every time. Prices on Amazon are the lowest I've seen on the Kayano 22 model, hopefully indicates more sizes and colors will become available at this $100 price point... Also some of these sizes get you below the NYC tax threshold Smilie

I was able to get my size, 13.5 in Charcoal/Silver/Lime for $105, lowest I've seen in any color by $15

Lots of sizes Charcoal/Silver/Lime $99 & up
Lots of sizes Silver/Black/Gold $99 & up
A few sizes Onyx/Silver/Charcoal $109 & up
A few sizes Carbon / Black / Silver $109 & up

The 23's are coming out in 2 weeks. after buying a bunch of kayanos in the past, i tried these on and they felt extrememly weird (amazon reviews have confirmed that). If the 23's don't change then i may have to go hunt down some 21's, or try some of these cheap 22's.

I had this shoes and returned it. My outside toes hurts after 3 miles.

I looked at the top negative review on Amazon and that told me pretty much all I needed to know. Asics seems to have taken a step back with the 22 in terms of fit.

I'm assuming you don't know much about the Asics model line. No way you are getting Kayanos or Nimbus for less and $60. And yes there is a huge fit/feel/cushion comfort difference between the basic Asics Gel and those models.

GEL-Kayano
These have been 109 frequently in some colors and not generally more than 119 across the board. You need to use 3 camels for your price research.

All gel asics are NOT created equal. If you go into B&M you can compare the craftsmanship, and it changes with the price. Kayano are very good (problems with 22 notwithstanding) for runners, and each of the high end (msrp > 100) asics has unique characteristics that each style of runner may be interested in. yes, you can get a year old model on amazon for 60-80, but if you're paying 30, you're getting bottom of the barrel poor build. Will be ok for walking around it but not so much for real running and will also not hold up as well. I've owned several pairs across the entire range.

Ok.. so i understand that's it's worth if I am a serious runner. For a casual guy like me.. it looks like i do ok with bottom of the barrel. Thanks for the info.

god.. where was this when I was looking for a pair of shoes.

I left my nimbus 13's and went to lunarglide 7s. Gotta say, asics wins all across the board.

when I did research, I was either going to get a pair of kayano (some mild reviews, nothing to ocrazy) and the nimbus. Neither had a good sale.

Lunarglide 7's went for about 70. Couldn't pass it up, but you're going more into the looks attribute rather than comfort and performance.

looking for another GOOD pair of shoes.. nimbus 13's were amazing..

I've already put some miles on them and I like them a lot. Not having the toe box problem. I've had every model since the kayano 17 and they fit as well as any. I tend to stretch and wear through any shoe so I think the seamless upper will be good for me. I could be wrong though

Thanks for the tip, I will use 3 camels before posting the next deal. At any rate, I've had a tough time finding Kayano in that $60-80 range you mention in the past, I feel like the year old model typically bottoms out around $100. So when I finally saw it hit that mark I figured I should share Smilie

I've recently retired my 19's out for the Mizuno inspire 12, which are doing an amazing job. I really, REALLY loved the 19's fit and feel which I put on a lot of miles into, is it worth checking back in the Kayano line with these?
