B&H Photo has the Samson SR850 Headphones on sale for $24.99 + Free Shipping

https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/pr...rence.html

Alternatively, Newegg (Sold by Adorama) has it also for $24.99 + Free Shipping (Only until 9/1) Though not sure why the title says "SR850C" but the model in the Specifications list "SR850".

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Pro...4P01ZM0439

Features:
  • Over-ear, semi-open-back design with velour cushioning
  • Large 50mm drivers with rare earth magnets
  • Adjustable headband
  • 32 Ohm impedance
  • 1/4" adapter included
  • Cable Length: 8.25’ (2.5 m) long

Been waiting for this to go on sale for a while since I wanted a cheap pair of headphones but not closed like the SR950. I bought through BH Photo since California residents have to pay tax for Newegg. Frown

Thanks. Got one from B&H with the Zalman Zm-Mic1 to use as a headset.

Amazon is price-matching for Prime customers but the shipping date estimate is October-December.

Yeah I saw it there a few days ago but that 1-3 month ship estimate was crazy. Why even take orders at that point.

After I made the purchase I saw the thread for the SHP9500's. Debated whether to try and cancel my order or not. But I really wanted to compare this to my AKG K242's and have a cheap pair of open-ear (I know this is semi) cans for out of the house use (Work, Travel, etc) that I can chuck around

I'm surprised the deal on the SR950 made it to the front page and this hasn't gotten any attention.

I ordered mine a couple days before you posted this and I'm really happy with the purchase. I'm not an audiophile, but for $25 these are probably the best sounding headphones I've ever owned. Separation of instruments is great, sound stage is awesome, bass is clean (maybe a bit weak).

They sound better than the Sony MDR CD280s they replaced and the Klipsch Image S2 in ears I occasionally use. I'm honestly tempted to buy a couple of these to keep at work/home when needed.
