I couldn't find anything newer than 3rd generation i series processors. I won't be purchasing from here. Great coupon value if they had some decent computers.

They are mostly 4gb ram and 160-250gb storage. Majority of the computers are also 32bit. This is definitely a pass.

I see some Dell Latitude and Dell Precision laptops with 4rd generation (Haswell) i-series processors.

Wow. These are at least 4 years old. Windows 7? It means you have to pay for upgrade?

if you are going for the t5500 then at least go for the dual x5650's - 6 core 12 thread processors. Personally i would want a t7600 for dual 8 core/12 thread processors but its out of my price range Frown

So if you get anywhere up to $250 or over, you're better off just getting it over $300 to use the other coupon. You'll hypothetically get more machine for the same amount of money.

Anyone put any rules together yet for laptops? Do you guys find that it's worth paying a bit for ram, a bigger HD, or jut keep it simple/cheap and upgrade yourself? What processor should I be looking for, i5? I used to know this stuff. Thanks.
