Clam Escape Canopy Tent $224 with Free Shipping
Great price for a Clam Escape Canopy Tent:
I was just in the market for a canopy tent that would keep out mosquitoes, which are a nasty pest where I live and give us a chance to enjoy the summer winding down.
The Wirecutter recommends this tent if you want the easiest possible tent to put up:
Having used it this past weekend at the beach, I can personally attest that it literally takes 60 seconds, if that, to put up - and it seems pretty durable. At the risk of sounding petty, I also note that the tent evoked quite a bit of jealousy from the beachgoers around me, due to its generous shade/protection and quick setup. At the risk of sounding old, this thing is pretty unwieldy; it's easy to put together because it's already constructed and just needs to be pulled into place, so it's very awkward to transport and may not even fit in a typical sedan.
I had purchased it from L&M Supply out of Minnesota (model 9281 Green), and they had it at the best price available ($224), with free shipping and no taxes (which hurts Target and Amazon). I contacted L&M prior to purchase about a question I had on shipping for the tent and they were pretty responsive.
Price Comparison: On Amazon, it currently costs $240; it did very briefly dip to $210 in the past but it's hard to tell if that was an anomaly per CCC. Target sells for the same price, but again, both Amazon and Target will want to wheedle tax from you, and will charge shipping if you don't have Prime or a Target CC.
