in theory yes, any guitar could work for south paws. you would just put the strings on "backwards" the cut away would be facing up towards your face, instead of down facing your feet. it's been said Jimi Hendrix played left handed and didn't reverse the strings.

Sorry, you're mistaken. The nut would have to be removed and replaced as the slots for the strings are different thickness. Also the saddle is angled for intonation and would have to removed from the bridge, the slot for the saddle filled and filed/sanded flush and a new slot routed out for a new saddle angled in the opposite direction. Not a DYI project and not worth the cost to convert a $180 guitar.

My 15 year old daughter has small hands, should I buy this or wait for a deal on the FSX700SC?

I have huge hands, and I feel like this guitar is still big for me. Maybe try one out at your local guitar store before buying, but I think it'll be too big for your daughter.

This is a good price for a great entry level to intermediate guitar. Good Find!
