I have been waiting for the dewalt saw to go on sale. In my reading I have seen that the skil saw is not bad but it is not dewalt, ridgid, or bosch level. I don't think I have seen this particular skil saw but how does it compare to the other 3 brands.

this is not skil saw, this is skilsaw, a different brand known for their worm drive motor. The review says this is really close to the Bosch compact saw, except that this has more power and runs cooler. In fact, I think the brand is owned by Bosch

Same brand skil=skilsaw

Known for worm drives and super cheap non-worm drive tools

oh wow thanks, I thought you were pullin my leg until I actually looked it up. I love bosch tools and have 2 bosch routers and router table(ra1171). ill look up some stuff about this table saw. I don't need the stand as I am going to build an extension around the saw. Thanks for the heads up

Bosch sold Skil to Chervon (Chinese/HK company that supposedly makes some Craftsman's 12V tools among others). Not sure if that includes skillsaw.

Every six months or so my alert for tablesaw goes off and I get excited. Then I look, and it's another weak jobsite saw. Every time.

Someday it will be a 240V 5HP cabinet saw. Someday.

FYI, they have a 180 day stay true warranty, as you can return the saw if you do not like it within 180 days.

get the DWE7491RS. I just got it recently from Lowes when it was on sale for $499. Couldnt be happier. Has the best stand in the bunch IMO. Very sturdy. P

This kills the standard Bosch jobsite saw regularly priced at 349.
Or even using $80 + $10 off on a reconditioned one at Rakuten for $219.
Comes with the stand which really takes the cake.
Great deal with no tax for a new saw. The reconditioned lightweight jobsite saws with an aluminum table can be in ROUGH shape with lots of deep gouges.
This is the best (and newest design) jobsite saw on the market right now.
Many thanks to the OP!

Thanks OP! I was looking at this saw ever since another user posted it in a Dewalt thread months ago.
I almost pulled the trigger on this last week at $379 + free stand, but this is way hotter!
Reviews seem pretty good on this saw, and the -22 model comes with the diablo blade.

Comes to $300 jobsite saw thread and complains it's not a $5000 saw.

does anyone have an understanding as to the quality of the fence or how square the saw arrives? Dado compatible?
