Labor Day sale at Lowes. Quikrete 60lb concrete on sale for $1.98. Normally $3.30 so 40% savings until 12Sept2016. YMMV

Home Depot also has 30% off Sakrete 60lb bags and haven't checked if that savings applies to pallets of 56. EXPIRED

Before anyone says who needs a pallet of concrete I totally picked up the last Slickdeal and did get a pallet last year. 13 left.

Holy shit. 1 pallet are you patching all the pot holes in Los Angeles? If so the city of Santa Ana needs your help.

$3.45 here and out of stock.

I'm surprised so many people in this thread think needing concrete in quantity would be a rare occasion. I needed > 30 bags earlier this year to fill a trench in my basement after running new plumbing.

Confirmed for lowes at 1.98/ 60#, 4000 psi concrete mix in Atlanta stores. In Georgia, lowes has changed to sakrete and no longer carries the quikrete brand. Home depot carries both, but mostly quikrete still.

The edge of my driveway where it meets the road has a horrible rut from water run off. Would something like this work to patch it at least for a while? Thanks.

Just remember this goes on sale cyclically.

Also CLOSELY watch your receipts.

I just tried to buy 350 1'x1' concrete pavers @ $1.18@

When I saw they charged me $0.48 for 1 I questioned if I could get more at $0.48.

The CSR price matched all of them, plus another 100 at $0.48.

Took me 3 trips to carry the pallets.

No dice for my Lowes, but the 50lb is $1.89. 5% cheaper, 16.7% less.

Good find. If I bought the materials and hired the guys building down the road to do the work then it would probably turn out find. The slope is 15 degrees which is why I'm not going to try it myself.

I'm using the Walkmaker by Quickrete to do my slope. I'll have to check if it's 15 degrees or not. I'm doing it in 10ft sections to match the grade of the ground. Now the drawback to what I"m doing is the best I can do in a day is 40sqft and I'm hammering out 320sqft. The benefit is I can do this totally solo.

The Lowes price is still valid and as I'm reaching the end of my project I don't see investing in another pallet until next year. And when I do I'm totally putting a tarp UNDER the concrete.
