According to the site it looks like it already has HDR?

The HDR will come with a firmware update IIRC. This TV has been listed at $1300 at most stores recently but hey, $100 is $100.

This tv looks solid unless you like movies, especially for price. I wonder what HDR will look like? Tv doesn't get very bright and can a firmware update give this tv a wider color gamut???

Man, I've always wanted a Sony TV. I have the older Vizio M-series 60" and thinking about upgrading to a 65".

I don't know about going from 60" to 65". I have a 60" LG and I'm looking at 75"+ next but that's a while from now. I think you'll be wanting even more once you hit 65". If it's in your means, financially and physically in your space, I'd go 70"+.

Unfortunately it won't. I have a after market has fireplace that juts out into my family room (was a spec house) and the 60" doesn't quite competent "fill" the space...but I'm not sure a 65" will fit either...

How about going projector? I'm currently at 65" but when the home remodel was done, I am thinking media projector and theater feel

EDIT: Nvm, after reading up on TVs vs projectors, TVs win in most situations Smilie

The XBR65X750 is a “better” model than the XBR65X810?

(i.e. former will get HDR update, latter won't?)

The price won't go up then?

how does this compare to the 810c? I know this one has hdr and the 810c doesn't so that is a plus. however I seem to find way more reviews for the 810c since it has been out longer. anyone with firsthand experience with both or more know how?

Took a close look on spec sheet for both 750D and 850D, and couldn't really spot the difference? Any ideas?

except size and consequently immersion

about $600 for a great 1080p projector for 110"-120" screen (another $200) is well worth it

of course as 4k content increases the projector becomes less appealing (affordable real 4k projectors are always 2 years away, even 2 years from now)
