Yes - most airlines use a 45" linear inches rule for length + width + depth - the 21" bag is 44.5".

This said, American Tourist is about as cheaply made luggage as you can find. If you only travel every other Christmas, this will probably at least last you 2 years

I had an American Tourister bag that I used for 8 years and I travel 2 to 3 times a year and it finally ripped thanks to united airlines, my bag went on the flight in really good shape and came out looking like it fell out of the plane! I think they make pretty sturdy luggage

Not a good deal IMO.
The everyday Ross price of Samsonite is cheaper.

I read many Amazon review and the 21" is too big for America Airline and other airlines. The listed dimension does not include the wheels on the spinner.

American Tourister is the sub-brand of samsonite, focus on lower end market, dun mess with other brand america txxx

the 21" model is actually 25" including wheels and handle.

1200x900D Polyester. Not terrible but definitely not nylon. I would avoid if you travel more than a few times a year.
