I searched for this on SD but could not find anything, so decided to post it.

This seems like a YMMV "invitation only" offer for sellers. I received an email this morning.
Subject: Exclusive event! Get a $40 bonus when you sell your iPhone.‏
Body: Image which said "Get up to $500 for your iPhone on eBay and get an extra $40 coupon if it sells for $200 or more"

Clicking on the image opened this link http://pages.ebay.com/promo/2016/SellPhone.html

I am posting for the first time so please let me know if I am missing anything important.

I received this, too. The invitation email says iPhone, but the details page has a photo of a Galaxy and the terms seem vague. Could be other phones are included, too. I'm still researching.

The only place "iPhone" is mentioned in the details or terms is just a disclaimer about their claim of getting more $$ selling on eBay vs. trade-in places.

First off, invitation only. Also any phone qualifies.

When I activated, it just says smartphone so I don't think it's limited to iPhone. Lucky for me I just happen to have an IPHONE 6 to sell! Thank you OP!

I saw this offer too and thought, yeah I have an 5 for sale. But the iPhone or phone has to sell for 200+ which you can read in the therms. If you have an 5s would be a good deal because you get the most out of it by not paying to much eBay fees.
