$30 with in-store pickup (you may have to order at your local store if they're out). Shipping is around $40. Great deal on a Cal-King lol.

Cost-effective and comfortable, the Capecod is an affordable way to rest at night. Featuring the ever popular, classic Bonnell spring system, this 8-inch thick mattress has hourglass shaped coils that give firm support. Layered with convoluted foam and finished with a polyester top, Capecod is ideal for a guest room, dorm, or child's room. Sold as a bed in a box, this budget-friendly mattress makes shipping super easy.

120 shipped to my zip. That's still cheap for a king bed in a box.

This is a real deal. Went to the Torrance location and they have about 10 left. Fits in a box that is 5 ft long and rolled up like a rug. It is stiff.

Dunno how this is, but needed something to sleep on, even if it's temporary. Trying out the King... I'll let you guys know how it is.

Ummm ok I haven't slept on it yet. Here's my initial impression:

1. Definitely not 8" thick. It's like exactly 6 inches. Which tells me it was designed this way.

2. Manufactured by Xilinmen Furniture Co, Ltd. Made in China. Contents: 40% polyurethane foam, 40% Insulator pad, 20% polyester fiber. As expected.

3. Laying down directly on mattress... not too bad actually. Springs are pretty close to the surface so you can feel them pretty easily. It is padded though and I wouldn't say it was terrible.

4. Unpacking Instructions were rolled up INSIDE the mattress, lol. That was helpful.

5. The mattress came rolled up and super compressed, it says to let it expand for 48 hours. I found after like 2 hours it was pretty much expanded (only to 6 inches thick though).

7. It is on the firm side. Definitely don't get if you like softer mattresses.

Appreciate the response! Need something really cheap for a guest room. Still debating on this.

With mattresses like this, you definitely need to let it expand for the time given. Don't sit, sleep or anything else on it for the 48 hours if you want it to expand to the expected size.

I agree you should do that, just to be safe. I did let it expand the full 48 hours, to be clear. It did not expand to 8 inches. It is very clearly a 6 inch mattress. To be even more explicit, it very clearly does not have any more room "to expand". There is quite literally 6 inches of fabric from seam to seam.

Did you make sure the mattress was absolutely flat on the floor? I only say that because I read the directions thoroughly when I bought 2 mattresses like this from Walmart and was warned to not let it just expand willy nilly. It HAD to be flat on the floor for it to expand properly. I did notice a huge difference even fully expanded since they have covers on them and you could see it bunching before and not after.

That said, how is it so far?

I did, nothing else in the room since I just moved in. I still haven't slept on it yet actually. Will report back after, I promise. Smilie
