Buy 4 Dial sub zero body wash with a subscription (save 20%) and get a $5 gift card as well. $11.27 total plus a $5 gift card. This is effectively $1.57 per bottle after including the value of the gift card. Don't forget an extra 5% off using Redcard. Free shipping. You can cancel your subscription after this ships.

There's no "net price after gift card" unless you can apply the gift card to this purchase. You get $5 to use on a future purchase. It's not $5 off this purchase. Price in title is ridiculously wrong. You have to buy 4 to get the gift card, so the cost is $11.27, not $1.57.

That's because we live in the real world, where math is math, and the cost of things is the amount of money you have to spend to get those things. There are also many examples of correctly worded titles for these Target gift card with purchase deals. Certain people like to post them incorrectly to make the price look better so they can get more thumbs up and reps.

I've had my last three 'Gift Card' orders at Target simply apply the GC to the current order.

Is that something new for red card holders?

I'm assuming you did this in store. This is an online subscription deal.

Nope, all online orders. When they've shipped the total is reduced by $5.

I choose the email delivery method for the gift card yet it's applied to the current order.

Mine do that, just like that in store. Only bc the gift card is added as an item onto your order so it can be tracked, so they "remove" that amount so the giftcard is free. A lot of times I end up with two charges too from online target orders. It all comes out in the wash to what it should be and I get my giftcards, but it's weird how they handle it.

No, I just get charged $5 or $10 less and no gift card.

If this is happening, then it's a new policy that I'm not aware of, nor that I've heard of. Maybe there's something there, but in the meantime Target Gift Cards don't contribute to the final value. If it's exclusive to Red Card Holders... Mmmm... I'm inclined to not have it count towards the final price then either, at least if it goes Front Page. You'll notice for Amazon Subscribe & Save, we adjust the price for people who have less than 5 items on Subscribe and Save, because it's not typical of people to have more than 5 items (Unless they're veteran SDers of course). If however this new policy is in effect for everyone, then it'd be a no-brainer to include it in the final price.

If what you say is true though, that would be mighty interesting Big Grin. Someone might want to do a thread about investigating this.

They didn't apply the GC to the order. They reduce the price by the amount of the gift card and do a separate charge for the gift card. So if your total is $15 they will charge you $10 for the order and $5 for the gift card for a total of $15. You need to check your credit card charges and I'm pretty sure you will see that they did charge you for them so you will need to use those gift cards to get your money back.

Nope, total charge reduced by GC amount.
