great specs except for m375. They skimped on that especially for a so called gaming machine. That graphics has old ddr3 & is only 128bit On par with 920M

i7 6700hq, 16gb ddr4 ram 2133-2400mhz, gtx1060, 512gb nvme ssd, 15.6" 1080p full hd ips 120hz g-sync display... all for under $1600 and with Lenovo y700 build quality and I'll be a happy camper.

False. "If slow DDR3 graphics memory is used, the performance should be somewhere close to a Radeon R9 M270 (see for gaming benchmarks)"
http://www.notebookcheck.net/AMD-...888.0.html

"According to this information (not yet officially confirmed), the performance of the R9 M270 should exactly match its predecessor. Thus, the GPU should be somewhat slower than a Nvidia GeForce GTX 760M."

The performance of the 760M is a good bit above the 940m

So the r9 m375 should be close to the performance of the 940m

When it comes to the T-Rex graphics score, the m375 falls way way short with the geforce blowing it out of the water....like DOUBLE and that is the 920M. It outperforms on other levels but isn't what you want in a gaming laptop

at the end of the day, my laptop brings better numbers in terms of gaming performance, so yes, it's better

edit: looks like this laptop isn't sold as a gaming laptop. I take it back

Not ready to buy yet, but based on history of Lenovo or Dell deals, would I Expect some better deals to be had for gaming laptops as we head towards the holiday season? Appreciate any feedback.

I need to buy as well and have been looking for a few weeks. I like the specs on this one, but the price is a little higher than I would like to go.

Just don't know if I can hold out until the holidays.

I've never seen any deals around the holidays. Only time I see real deals are during weekdays, business days.

I to waited for long time and pulled the trigger, because I like all specs and most important 14"inch I like than 15"(My personal preference). Y700 14 inch don't have option of GTX 960M, I can only see few deals which has 16 GB ram and I7 processor with 4GB graphic card for this price. I see most of previous deals with higher price with 2GB Nvidia GTX 960M and with 15" and this deal has 14" ans 4GB AMD Radeon R9 M375(I don't know about Graphic cards but thought even though M375 is slower or less we have 4GB which is twice of GTX 960 M 2GB . I can say it can compensate, I am not Hard Core Gamer on laptop) .
