Micro Center B&M has the Raspberry Pi Zero v1.3 Development Board - Camera Ready for $0.99 for the first one you buy.

This time it looks valid at all stores.
Only the first one is this price. It looks like they increased the price past MSRP when you try to order more than one.
$9.99 each 2nd-5th units
$12.99 each 6th+ units

I guess you could always do separate orders and refuse to show them ID if they ask. My store has never asked me for ID to check the 1 per person restriction, but I've only purchased 2.

One of these two kits seem to be the best accessory buy for the Raspberry Pi Zero (IMHO):

Kit 1: 8-in-1 Raspberry Pi Zero Accessories Kit
Each item in this 8-piece Raspberry Pi Zero accessory kit has been carefully chosen to meet most of the need to get you going with your new gadget. If bought separately, they can cost 5-7 times more.

On this one the device is meaningless but the concept is worth millions. This one is anti slickdeals because if you know what it is then it is your knowledge which is the slick here not the deal.

This was given free when introduced with I think Pi magazine and it sold in first few minutes and then was not available anywhere. Real price was 5$s.
I was waiting to get one because the the Pi-2 is big for small projects.

Bought one, repped.

Why there are no cheaper clones which is usually the case for arduino ? Why everyone has to fight for this ?

99-cent is a great deal for Pi Zero in quantity 1. I gave rep to Outrager who posted this deal and everyone who shared ideas for accessories or projects. hug

If you are new to Pi, you may develop your project on Pi 2B or 3B with faster CPU, more RAM, and more built-in devices/ports.

After project completed, you may cost reduce it to Pi Zero or 1A+ for mass production - like give everyone a smart sprinkler for Christmas.
