I used to like AA lights because I thought universal access to the batteries was important. The reality ended up being that I needed to carry so many spare batteries (TK40) that carrying specialty lights (e.g. like the EA45S which is essentially a spotlight) on a trip or outing became impractical. Ultimately, I used those lights so infrequently that I lost the light to corrosion.

Once I started moving towards the CR123 and 18650 lights, I found the weight savings and higher output of those flashlights enabled me to actually carry these lights along with the general purpose primary light. I still had backup power in the form of only 1 to 2 18650 cells, easily purchased on Amazon with the funds I would have used to buy the 8 to 24 spare AA cells I no longer needed to carry along. I also no longer worried about losing the specialty light to corrosion from alkalines if I didn't use it for a few months. There was also no need for spare cables and chargers since USB charging was available through the EDC light using the same micro-USB cable I needed for other devices. The functionality of backup USB battery packs that I take along anyway for my phone could also be extended to charging the 18650s as well.

For EDC lights I do see still see a point to AA-based lights because in my opinion, you're much more likely to both have your EDC light available to you AND run out of juice in an unexpected emergency circumstance. In those cases, it would be beneficial to be able to walk into a grocery store / gas station and buy a AA cell. But for anything planned ahead of time, I go for the 18650 lights.

If you're ordering from overseas anyway, you may also want to check out Convoy lights (read budgelightforum and candlepowerforum) as they make some well-regarded lights like the S2+, L6, C8 at good prices.

Would grab one if it wasn't from Gearworst.

If this wasn't from gearbest, I'd jump on it. I used to buy the occasional vape product from them, often lured by their promotions. Each order would take 25-35 business days to arrive in the US. It took so long to arrive, that most US companies had already lowered the price to below what the Gearbest promotion was.

Here's the best part. If you contact them, EVEN after waiting 30 business days, you'll get the following reply from support

According to the Delivery Deadline, please kindly note that most of postal deliveries performed by flat rate shipping companies and standard shipping companies ie EMS can be delivered within 25 business days. However deliveries can be be delayed by multiple factors.

Therefore GearBest, we will use delivery deadline of 2 to 3 months (depending on the country) after shipment to confirm the item loss and offer compensation. GearBest strongly recommends customers selecting flat rate shipping to buy both shipping insurance and tracking number for fast ,smooth and secure delivery.
