Just got an email for a Labor Day sale. I've been following these guys for a while and they rarely do sales. It's a connected sprinkler controller with (optional) moisture sensors to feed back to your watering schedules. Kind of like the other recent 'smart sprinkler' stuff that's been getting popular recently (Rachio, RainMachine), except it has moisture sensors and runs off of SmartThings.

Use coupon code at checkout to get :
$30 off of $150: MadeintheUSA30
$50 off $300: MadeintheUSA50

If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

Do you use this system? I'm curious how the sensors connect & what their actual (not theoretical) range is. Seems like a big yard could make some expensive sensors pointless + it's one more thing to be aware of when mowing.

I actually really like the idea that it calculates water scheduling based on water sensor data. If I didn't recently buy a Rain Machine, then I would have totally jumped on this.

just got Skydrop last week and wonder if it is worth to get Spruce instead. I like the idea of having moisture sensor and works natively with Smartthings.

even rachio does that with a rain sensor, with or without the IFTTT integration

I had sky drop for about a week and hated it. Have now had Rachio for 2 years and love it.

Could you share your bad experience with Skydrop? I still in returning period.

Didn't like the user experience. App was poor, unit itself seemed buggy and slow. In general I found myself getting really frustrated with the UI.
