I also had $15 in "Surprise Points" (your offer may be higher or lower) which dropped price to $64.99. Be sure to check your favorite cashback site, I found 6% cashback for sites I frequent.

Hopefully the vac unit does too Smilie

Scanned through the 120 reviews and see some that mention the casters as being a positive. I'll get mine tomorrow and will see how they are.

at least they're better than on the last gen Craftsman shop vacs which would jam up if they encountered a small piece of debris (due to the lack of clearance between the wheel and the housing). these can actually go over an extension cord .will this style of wheel last 10 years constantly under load with a tub full of water...who knows.

my biggest beef is with how brittle the plastic tub is. if you get this shipped, check near the side handle for cracks. my old one could be kicked down a flight of stairs and not crack

I've had this vac for about 8 months. Works great.

Also, keep checking Sears for accessories and filters. About every month or so, certain accessories and filters will go 50% off or more. I've been slowly building out all the accessories for this item. Most were free with surprise points and sale price.

Here is an example of your first attachment on sale, extension wand normally $9.99 on Hot Buy for $3.99. Get it free with points. If you are tall (over about 5'10"), then get this extension. Otherwise with only the 2 lengths of included extension wands in the vacuum, you are going to be hunching over to use the vacuum. With this 3rd added, it is nice and long so you don't have to hunch over to vacuum.

Just back from picking up my vac from Sears. Not sure of the issue noted with casters, seem to be fine. I wish I would have seen your post before I picked up my vac as I'm not usually in the area where closest Sears is at. But I'll let them hold onto it for a week or so. Thanks for the info on the extension.

When I was shopping for a we/dry vac, was initially going to go Craftsman until I saw they only have a one year warranty, the shortest of the vacs I looked at. Shop Vac gives you three, and Rigid (which I went with) gives you a lifetime warranty.

What were the specs and how much did you pay for the Rigid model? When I looked they were much more expensive. Credit card will add 2 years to my warranty, so I'm covered for next 3 years.

Yeah, unfortunately the Home Depot's Rigid models go on sale far less often. I got mine last Christmas during a sale and 50% in SYWR bonus point promotion.

It was the 6.5 HP model with Blower and gutter cleaning extension on sale for $89.99. Looks like they no longer have the one that includes cutter extension, but they do have this this bundle for $99.99:

If you don't need the highest suction, they do have their 5.0HP plus blower model on sale- today only (and in-store only, sold out on-line) for $69.97:

got an email from shop your way. "You have $20 in surprise points to redeem on your Craftsman purchase of $75 or more.".

I ended up paid 64.19 for this vacuum.
